England has it's fair share of robberies and British stoppages, I will concede that it happens here more frequently with high profile bouts.
The problem is quite simply this.. amateur boxing is a sport and treated as such. The pro ranks are treated as entertainment (subject to all the outside commercial/political pressures that brings). Also, I think.. and yes call this a conspiracy.. boxing in America has been in a steady decline for well over a decade now. Rather than being a mainstream sport it appears to become more and more marginalized. Could it be that keeping particularly an American heavyweight champion is better for the overall health of boxing in America?
Disgusting robbery. America is far worse for robberies than Germany ever was. If it's Josh Taylor vs Prograis in the super series final, Taylor should refuse to fight in the USA.
I agree that the 115-111 for Wilder is terrible but, the draw isn't. Score should have been 114-112 Fury. 8 to 4. Can't give wilder anymore than that. I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that a judge could give Wilder a close round beyond the 4 I gave him but, I can't. And I was going for Wilder all the way.
I agree that is the total arc of wilder’s career. He is manufactured to keep America relavaent in the Hw division
155 punches were landed according to punchstats or 12.9 punches a round. That equates to fury landing 7 punches to Wilders 6 per round. Hardly the stuff of legends or robberies. It was a good fight between 2 mediocre champs (and I use that term loosely). No robbery. I am happy with the draw and scored it 114-114. Can’t believe the lunatic fanboys and haters on both sides crying robbery
Wow....what a clever attack....we are hurt by your words deeply snowflake lol. How did the American judge score the fight? Oh that’s right there was no American judge....hmmm interesting! How much did the British judge favor Fury by? Oh wait he scored it a draw....interesting. I hate crybabies
Lol I don’t even like punch stats...the only thing they bear out in this exercise is that neither guy really did enough to cry about not winning. I did find it a fun fight between 2 guys I don’t root for. But coming hear and seeing robbery makes me wonder how many guys actually even know how to score a fight on here.
Agreed. Fury's blows were hitting air, forearms or gloves for the first half. Not that you'd know if you listened to Paulie who was ranting about Fury's jab from literally the first 30 seconds while conveniently silent when his head was getting snapped back by Wilder.
