I feel what Fury did last nighht coming back from being out cold is comparable to Larry surviving against Shavers, am I right and could Fury have come back from that iconic right hand tat dropped Holmes?

It’s as good a recovery as any I have seen. I thought he was out....I was impressed. I did think draw was the correct decision but him getting off the canvas in 12 and finishing...that was “undertaker” type stuff lol

I’d love to see a rematch! Fury made a lot of fans recovering from that knockdown. It was better than Holmes vs Shavers because Fury seemed to be out cold.

Incredible recover, I wouldn't quite call it better than Shavers vs Holmes, but it's within the same ballpark without a doubt. Everyone in the theater though the fight was over.

Holmes was downed by a single blow but Fury was levelled by a right hand left hook combo , so for that reason id go with Fury.

Larry also fleeted around the ring whereas Fury was fighting back on the front foot just moments later.

The BT commentary was great , Jones could barely speak and Rawling was totally spazzing out , especially when Fury put his arms behind his back.

Can definitely compare it to the Undertaker.

Have to go with Fury. It was already Shavers-Holmes like when the right hand connected, but he also landed a massive left hook flush on Fury’s chin while he was already limp and totally defenseless.

He was out cold and literally motionless. If you'd paused the tape at that point and asked everyone on this forum what happened next, I'm guessing everyone would have said he gets counted out.

Neither of you saw the Holmes knocked down I guess... This ain't even close. There were maybe 3 boxers in the history, that would recover after this Shavers' blast

Fury`s comeback was faer better because Shavers was competely spent and missed all over the place, also Fury was completely out, longer than Holmes was.

Tricky. I think the Shaver's right hand was more brutal, he completely poleaxed Holmes with a monster shot. But Holmes was never out like Fury was, when he dropped he was still conscious and immediately rolled over and got up. Holmes probably showed a better chin.

But Fury's recovery was more dramatic even though I think the shots he took were not as brutal as that one monster overhand right from Shaver's, he was out and then rose up like nothing had happened. Fury doesn't have Holmes chin but he might very well have better powers of recovery.

The fact that Fury got up in the twelfth round and Holmes rose in the seventh combined with Tyson's comeback after a lengthy two year layoff tips the scale in his favor.

Now that its fresh in my mind it's clear. Furys recovery is more impressive.
