I don't see Wilder risking his belt against Whyte. There's not a huge amount of upside for him when he could fight Joshua. Wilder knows he could KO or be KOed by Whyte and AJ, so it's better to take the fight with the biggest payday and chance to become undisputed.

Even if he loses vs AJ, Wilder could still make a few mill fighting Whyte in UK. But if he faced Whyte first and lost, then the potential payday vs AJ is vastly reduced coming off of 2 "losses" and no WBC on the line.
    Wilder's options are limited.

Wilder should be ahead of joshua since wilder was inch away from koing fury in the 12th round in which fury is the same guy that easily beat wlad way before joshua tko fury left over in wlad. Wilder imo would beat Joshua because would joshua still be able to take any hard punch after what he suffer vs a decline wlad? I doubt it. Wilder vs Joshua is really an even fight but I doubt Joshua beats Wilder especially considering joshua ain't slick like fury in which Joshua is there to be hit.

It wasn't the same Fury that easily beat Wlad. It was Fury at perhaps 70% of the Wlad performance. He was not as alert, as crisp, as athletic nor as intimidating as he was in the Wlad fight.

Joshua beats Wilder because he doesn't have the same fluid division between offense and defense as Fury does. Joshua is either one or the other. He will come forward and he will hit Wilder with concussive blows, because that is all he knows how to do. Wilder's offense will be compromised by the little space Joshua leaves on attack between himself and Wilder. Wilder has zero boxing skill and will have no control over distance. This will be his downfall. Look at the Ortiz fight. Ortiz controlled distance and smashed Wilder until he gassed and lost power. Ortiz does not have Joshua's power. Joshua will control the distance and smash Wilder to pieces.

    1. Joshua
    2. Fury
    3. Wilder

Now it gets blurry, but Whyte, Povetkin and Ortiz should be up there, with the latter two clearly on their way out.

Wilder is the best actor! At least 5 of his fights were fixed, including the one with Fury.Good actor, but not in top 3 for boxing skills.
