The guy made an attempt to change his life for the better but he'll always be held to ransom for it. Meanwhile, these dummies on here will shed tears for people like George Bush Snr who has millions of bodies against his soul including innocent children and women yet they salivate over him like he was their Messiah.
That's all there is to it. His past is just a bonus reason. Nobody really cared about his past back in 2013.
Some crimes are unforgivable, ****, especially **** of a minor is one of them. Throw in the violence and grooming and you have a litany of reasons why Stevenson is rightly hated by the majority of boxing fans.
What Stevenson did was pretty bad. Now regardless of whether you consider his offences unforgivable or not, why support him against a nice guy like Gvozdyk whose behaviour is exemplary? Also, there was an extended period where Stevenson did not fight good opponents. At the start and near the end of his reign he fought some good names (Dawson, Bellew, Jack, Gvozdyk), but there was a period on nearly 4 years from mid-2014 to early 2018 where he fought: Suthovsky old Bika Karpency Williams Jr Fonfara rematch That's not good for the division, when you recall that at the same time there was good opposition around: Ward, Kovalev, Beterbiev, Alvarez
