An off the couch Fury showed how easy it is to nuetralise Wilders right hand, duck and loop under left and it goes straight over ever time, and Wilder is too one dimensional to adjust. Ortiz was too old and his reflexes are shot. But Whyte and Miller are in their prime, and would counter on the inside to destroy Wilders ectomorph body and stop him within a few rounds.
Whyte could maybe cause Wilder problems but he wouldn’t get a decision in the US and Wilder would probably stop him anyway. Let’s not go there with Miller, that man has tons to prove first...
No Wilder was just out boxed by the master Tyson Fury he would not lose to Whyte no way. Big Baby may give him some trouble.
Wilder has never fought an in prime contender in his career, let alone someone with the body punching capacity/chin/pressure/workrate of Whyte or Miller. Hes 1-1 against 2 cherry picked world level opponents with a 50% KO ratio. Wilders frame wont hold up against either Whyte or Miller.
Fury is literally a defensive master, who did everything in his power to avoid the power of Wilder, and still got caught twice, and dropped hard by it. Whyte and Miller have zero defense and block punches with their face. Come on man, you're smarter than this.
and your smart enough to know Fury is a defensive master because his fragile mandible gets dropped hard by the likes of Cunningham. Look at comparable fighters Duhuapas and Arreola, Wilders power is managable by a strong chin, only difference is Whyte and Miller are world level, far more skilled, throw twice as much, utilise head movement, and destroy the body. Both have the attributes to exploit Wilders weaknesses, a strong chin, devestating body punching, and a phenomenal workrate. Wilder is too skinny to last against the Body Snatcher or Big Baby.
Whyte and Miller and both lose to Wilder. Whyte would get banjo'd, knocked cold, he leaves himself far too open. He's slow and way too eager to engage. Joshua almost killed him, there's no reason to think Wilder would do anything different. Miller does not have the offense or the evasiveness to beat Wilder. He would get hit a whole lot and not offer much in return. Easy points victory for Wilder.
This. Miller has no head movement or hand speed, so he's tailor-made for Wilder. Whyte is better than Miller, but he'd still get knocked out by Wilder.
Its easy to look good against a long list of opponents with unsteady chins. Fury has completely changed his style since getting floored by Pajkic and Cunningham to protect his chin, Ortiz has avoided facing punchers his whole career to protect his chin, Stiverne was a dive, Miller destroyed Washington, Kownacki destroyed Szpilka etc.. but when faced with durable chins Duhuapas, Stiverne 1, Arreola, even though they were stationary punching bags in front of him, Wilder couldnt KO them. If he couldnt put away these fringe level tough journeyman, how will he put away prime world contenders who have the skills/attributes to exploit Wilders key weaknesses? He wont, and he wont be able to handle Whyte, Miller, or Parker either. Its obvious Fury beat him, thus will fight Joshua, if Wilder isnt all talk and wants to fight the best of the best, he needs to fight one of these guys to solidify his claim.
Whyte doesn't have the chin, Parker was merely a few seconds away from separating him from his senses at the end of their bout and Wilder hits harder. His only chance is to get to Wilder before Wilder gets to him, which will happen at some point. Miller has shown an excellent chin so far but if he fights Wilder he's going to walk on to a lot, I doubt he has a McCall-grade chin to take it.
Damn straight. Guys with solid chins don't hit the deck against stiffs like Nichols and Sconiers. The ONLY reason Wilder hasn't been KOd yet is his opposition has been carefully selected for their mediocrity, age, illness, or lack of power to ENSURE that Wilder's suspect chin doesn't get shattered. Once he faces a decent fighter who isn't old, ill, overrated or featherfisted, he WILL get knocked out.
