Could Joshua have gotten up from the punch that flooored Fury in the 12th?

He is but he hits alot harder than Fury and is also better skilled than Wilder. Joshua wouldnt of got up from that shot in the 12th, maybe, but then i think Joshua would of had him out of there well before the 12th, maybe.

I dont think there is any definite outcomes to any of those 3 guys fighting, a Fury Wilder rematch could go either way, same with Wilder Joshua or Fury Joshua. Ive always said its not greatness and a wealth of high class talent that makes a division exciting it is a good level of competitiveness. And this division has got exciting

"Could he have taken a punch from..." is a rather pointless and un-provable debate.

 

Fury got caught by a big full flush wilder punch as soon as the fight resumed. He took it well and after that, put his hands behind his back

 

I lean toward no if he did he would have 90 seconds or so to survive and hes not evasive like fury.

I think being tired was a big factor in him going down vs wlad. he was not hit as cleanly or as devastating as the shot that nailed fury

 

Impossible to know for sure, but I think Wlad hits harder than Wilder and Joshua did get up from a flush right hand from Wlad so it's possible he gets up.

But I don't think we'll ever get to see this scenario if they fight, Wilder won't be conscious long enough to figure out Joshua and land his big right hand.

 

Are you conveniently forgetting Wilder knocked Stiverne out in round 1 in their 2nd fight? lol

 

Yeah I still think the AJ vs Wilder fight has to be made. It really could go either way, I have to favor AJ because skills pay the bills, that said.. it will very probably come down to who lands first.

 

Hmmmm....interesting premise? My initial thought is no he probably wouldn’t. But the other question is would he have gotten caught in the 12th round of a fight he thought he was winning? Again my answer is probably not

 

There is no proof that Wilder hit's any harder than Klitscho.

 

Stiverne was no longer ranked in the top 10 during the rematch. And had looked horrible in previous fight and was way out of shape.

 

i think so too. wilder is almost useless moving backwards and aj is a big boy who can crack too. wilders chin isnt glass, but he does lose his legs fairly easily from shots to the jaw, and his defense is only effective at long ranges. i think if aj moves forward behind a tight guard and just forces exchanges on the inside, he will catch and stop wilder rather easily.

 

There is no evidence anyone could put forward to show that he woudn't get up. Joshua got hit flush by the bread and butter right hand of a guy with significantly more KO's, against much better opposition, than Wilder has fought. A guy who has much better punching technique than Wilder as well. I don't buy all the "Wilder is the hardest puncher ever bull****. If Joshua, Wlad, Lewis, Tyson, etc. fought Wilder's mostly horrible opposition, they would have that huge KO ratio as well through 40 fights.
