Didn't Usyk just win a PPV fight on SKY in a big UK arena ?

On Sky PPV, what in front of a circa 450k audience Usyk has had very little exposure in the UK let him have a few warm ups as a heavyweight and build a following then step up

Fury and Joshua can happen despite the different promoters and media platforms. It would be the biggest fight in heavyweight history in terms of revenue. Fury called out Joshua on ITV on Good Morning Britain this morning. He wants it. Imo it should be a 50/50 split. AJ is huge in Britain but Fury is now a big name in the US and very well known in this country. Joshua should want to fight him because Fury is ‘the man’, the lineal champion of the world, the man who beat the man and enabled the likes of Charles Martin and Joseph Parker to pick up vacant belts.

Joshua deserves credit for achieving what he has in the time he’s done it. He beat Charles Martin for a belt who is a pudding. He beat Klitschko for a vacant belt, who was already defeated by Fury and had been inactive for 18 months aged 41. He beat Joseph Parker for a belt whom we didn’t quite know what level he was at and who’s just been seen off by Whyte. Takam’s just been seen off by Chisora. 38 year old, seen better days Povetkin was a good win.

Now the above sounds harsh but i’m a big boxing fan and as excellent as I think AJ is, he’s been steered beautifully by Hearn. My point is, Joshua needs Fury as much as Fury needs Joshua.

Twenty, a well-considered post as always but I do feel you're overlooking one thing. Hearn can't have Joshua risking his 0. FWIW I think Joshua would fancy it mind you.

    I hope you're right though.

Wrong clearly AJ brings far more to the table than Fury

@Twentyman Sorry, edit. I see you didn't overlook it, just stating the new balance of power. My apologies.

Thanks mate and absolutely, Joshua isn’t scared of any fighter and would definitely believe he can beat Fury.

Not anymore he doesn't. The PR build up for Fury has only just started.

But Fury has never been a ticket seller in the UK and his best PPV in the UK did circa 450k and I doubt he did anywhere near this on BT against Wilder.

    Joshua brings far more value

There’s currently not another heavyweight in the world that AJ could be matched against who could generate him more money than Fury. Fury is big in America...he’s big in this country too. Now that’s just money. AJ can beat Whyte, Pulev even Wilder, but until he beats the lineal champion then he cannot be considered ‘the man’. He needs Fury.

Oh dear Fury got knocked down hard twice by Wilder he would really struggle against AJ, Whyte, Pulev and Ortiz he should do the right thing and renatchi Wilder

depends who he thinks he can beat easiest. he has TWO potentially huge paydays . If he thinks Wilder is easier then he can line that up first then take on Fury, and vice versa. of course that could backfire if he loses but the percentages would be in favour of easiest of the two first I think.

There’s not a fighter in the world who would still be standing if Wilder landed clean on them. Fury got up both times and won the fight and he deserves a rematch. Of course he would have a very hard night with Joshua but likewise Joshua would have a very hard night with Fury. Fury beats Pulev, Ortiz and Whyte.

Assuming Whyte beats Chisora which is quite a big assumption I would still give Whyte little to no chance against Joshua and I would certainly not pay for that fight ! Apart from Fury or Wilder I can’t see another PPV fight for AJ. Usyk could be built to be a marketable opponent in future and Pulev will be mandatory soon which again isn’t going to excite many , come on the forces that be make AJ v Wilder or Fury.

Aye, but neither Wilder nor Fury are easy fights.
