Fury has said he believes McGregor copied him in basically every way, from trash talking and been controversial to even growing a big beard and wearing tailored suits.

In a way he has a point, I’ve heard a few people say McGregor is the UFC version of Tyson Fury and Fury was around and doing his thing long before McGregor came on the scene.

    What do you reckon ?

Conor McGregor talks the talk then gets smacked up. Tyson Fury talks the talk then walks the walk. He tried to copy but there’s only one Tyson Fury!!!

Conor told lies about growing up in a rough area in Ireland, people have said that the part of Dublin where he is from is far more wealthy to the gypsie lifestyle Fury had growing up as a kid, Fury grew up with people behaving around him the same way he behaves in interviews, I don`t know if Conor did, Fury`s a real pikey even though he`s not Irish, he has pikey Irish relatives whereas Conor doesn`t, wish they were the same weight though.

Yeah Crumlin isn’t a bad area at all, actually that’s one of the nicer places in a Dublin.

Conor also said he was quiet as a youngster, maybe he did see Fury doing what he does and thought he’d play a similar role, except Fury isn’t playing, that’s why he comes off more genuine and amusing than Conor, who sometimes feels very forced and unoriginal when he’s going off on one.

Not sure who copied who, but there are similar elements to both of thier prefight trash talk...Connor is just a little more articulate, charismatic and flamboyant. Meaning Connors is more entertaining and humorous to me.

Conor taps out when the going gets tough, Fury gets up and fights his heart out

No. McConor McGregory is a far better trash talker but probably not as good a fighter in his respective field.

I thought he copied Fury's arms behind his back style in the Mayweather fight, but he didn't have the cojones to pull it off.

His trashtalking is way more entertaining though. Fury's weird, over-enunciating voice isn't made for efficient trashtalking.

Perhaps. McGregor is a fantastic entertainer.

Relatively speaking he’s probably more a Dillian Whyte in terms of ability in his sport but still eats at the top table of the UFC. That’s credit to how well he’s marketed himself.

He probably wishes he has Fury’s credibility as a genuine tough guy though. Would’ve been interesting to see the Fury clan vs Khabib’s crew. Connor’s gang of instagram poser mates never stood a chance really.

He’s nowhere near as funny as Fury imo, Fury is much more real whilst Conor seems like he’s trying too hard sometimes

    They're entertaining in different ways.

Fury's a lot more genuine and engages with things on a much deeper level, which is why I love listening to him speak. He's a lot more likeable as well and can make you really side with him on various issues that you might never have considered before.

Conor's all flash and dazzle, audacious acts and a ton of swagger. It's not deep or meaningful, but it brings the buzz to a big fight, which is sometimes all you need. I do agree that he tries too hard at times, and the more he loses the less effective his act will become. It's not something destined for longevity.
