It was a very good fight, but that fact (it being damn good) cannot affect the figures of this PPV, obviously. Because I had expected a boring fight (I'm sure I wasn't alone), for example, and was pleasantly surprised. I think the numbers will be about 300k, yes.
Be interesting to see how they do US v UK. I have a feeling UK may have sold more despite the fight being 5am.
It usually does, but in this day and age, I haven't the slightest idea why this isn't something that can't be known more or less immediately. Seems to me they appear to be utilizing outdated methods from older technology.
Usually, if a company like HBO or SHO released official numbers, legally, they are obligated to be honest. This is why a lot of times the official numbers are never announced, and you wind up getting estimates from outlets like ESPN. But I don't even think they get an exact official number the way they work it using older technology in any case - I believe it is actually ultimately based on a ranged estimate.
