Ah, bringing up that sparring that has already been proved to be sensationalism by Tyson Fury.

When AJ done that PR stunt by buying his old coach a BMW and getting the BBC to film it, the BBC interviewed his old coach about that spar. It's on YouTube. He says Fury was clowning around in the first round and got caught with a good shot. AJ won the first round. Fury then started picking off Johsua (exact words) and won the second round. The third round was even. Fury wanted to continue the spar but they pulled Joshua out.

I'm sure I've told you this before but don't let the truth get in the way of spreading your fanboy propaganda.

As for who wins, I have no idea.

    Never heard of that story.....

I was just talking about the time when Fury said Joshua beat him up.

Correct and Mr OpinionOfACasual lost his credibility way back when he claimed there's no evidence to suggest Wilder Joshua does more buys in the UK than Joshua Parker.

    You expect Wilder to improve?

He will never get a better chance to beat Fury than the one he lost to the other night.

I think the weekend proved it.

Pre-fight was the height of Wilder's draw......
He was guaranteed less than Povetkin was against Joshua

Wilder is a far bigger draw now (Supposedly) than when Joshua fought Parker too.

    Interesting.....

    I believe Fury though.

If he said Joshua beat him up, Joshua beat him up.

He could. He's a LONG ways from being a techinically perfect fighter, so it's up to him whether he refines his craft or not. Do you disagree that he has a lot of areas to his game that could be improved?

He's already shown himself to be a prodigious talent athletically and he's made leaps and bounds from the guy who turned pro after the 2008 games who clubbed his opponents like a caveman. If he dedicated himself to sharpening his tools under a new trainer and took a year to fight one or two guys like Chisora/Pulev/Povetkin he could easily be a superior article to what we saw Saturday.

Also, what makes you so sure that while Wilder is bound to stagnate while Fury will only get better? Given the fact that Fury went into a career tailspin (no disrespect over his mental illness, I'm just pointing out facts) when everything was going great and his career was at its zenith, who is to say he won't crash and burn given that he feels he was robbed here. We've seen plenty of fighters lose some drive after being ripped off by the officials: Jeff Fenech, Joseph Agbeko, Ali Funeka all spring to mind. Winky Wright also started coasting after the draw with Jermain Taylor. Maybe when they rematch Tyson will be bloated, off the wagon, and only interested in a payday.

Here's the point: I think Tyson Fury won, and I would favor him to win again. But the fact is that in the span of 12 rounds Wilder had him down twice and nearly finished him. Its totally rational to think that over the course of another 12 rounds Wilder could drop him again, and this time make it stick. Wilder is at worst one of the top 3 heavyweights in the world, and to denigrate him a few days after he gave an awesome fight against another top 3 heavyweight is really pretty silly.
