Whyte and Miller will slaughter Wilder

Good lord....these threads are getting dumber by the day!!

 

Because of styles.

Whyte is an aggressive slugger with leaky defense. His chin is good but not great. Doesnt jab enough, doesnt move his head a lot. He's shorter than wilder at 6'4 and weighing 240+ is actually a disadvantage because if the fight lasts past the 7th, his workrate will go down and his stamina will rapidly deplete trying to get wilder out of there. His basics are good but he can telegraph and throw big wild punches. Lets not pretend whyte is some polished sophisticated boxer puncher like joe louis.

Wilder is a tall rangey guy with an underrated jab and power in both hands. He actially has good reflexes and slipped a lot of ortiz's shots. He was tagged by fury because fury has great handspeed and a reach/height advantage and fights an outside fight--none of those qualities apply to dillian whyte. Wilder clearly has a great chin and hits harder than whyte and has longer arms so even if he cant outbox him, in a shootout youd have to favor wilder.

Miller on the other hand is a bit of a mystery since he only has a handful of decent wins and those guys are mostly C level anyway. Had he fought pulev we might have gotten so more answers, but based on what we've seen Ortiz is clearly a superior boxer over miller and wilder brutally koed him. Miller is tough and has surprisingly good stamina and good inside fighting ability but the question is if he can actually get close and make it an inside fight. He isnt beating wilder at long or mid range and he lacks the 1 punch explosive ko power to get him out of there early. His only option is to get close and out work and outgrind wilder or stop him late and I dont think he can. We'll have to see how he looks against another big puncher.

 

I would love to see Whyte v Wilder. Whyte would hospitalise that beanpole

Thank you for putting effort into explaining, most people just say "KTFO" without going into how/why they think that.

To me Whyte would get inside on Wilder too easily and early, work him (Wilder has very little inside game/if any) and that would quickly take effect; Wilder has that power to stop him sure, but as we have seen recently, his punch accuracy is somewhat lacking.

Its all well and good saying Whyte slows down, but so does Wilder as we just saw.

Ask yourself though, who has shown the most improvement through out their careers? Since his loss to AJ, Whyte has improved nearly all areas of his game.

 

Uh wilder was less accurate because he was trying to hit a 6'9 shifty fast outboxer with long arms. He got tired because he was 212 lbs being leaned on and wrestling with a 260 pound man who was constantly moving away from him. And despite all that, wilder still flatlined him in the very last round, showing frightening late round power. Even showtimes biased announcers were surprised how tired wilder looked because he usually has a great gas tank and they even pulled up stats during the fight showing how wilder is usually more accurate than he was against fury.

I repeat, whyte is not some polished high ring iq boxer, he's a slugger with good fundamentals and power but not much else. Yes hes a better inside fighter and body puncher than wilder but he will have to walk through some serious shots to get there and he doesnt have good defense or head movement. We've seen whyte get badly hurt and koed before. Logically, wilder should win.

 

You just addressed one of Wilder's biggest weaknesses (IMO), his weight. Being that light against any top HW is going to cause him problems. Whyte can cause a lot of damage and quickly when he gets in close and then tie him up. I think WIlder has been found out and a lot fo the other top HWs will much better fancy their chances (and probably walk in favourites) against Wilder now.

Wilder's team will push for the AJ fight asap and rightly so, they will miss the payday.

 

Wilder is taller with a longer reach, whyte isnt gonna tie up anything lol.

As for punch resistance, being under 220 didnt lead to him being koed or even dropped despite tons of flush bombs from Ortiz and fury. Anything can happen with whites punching power but im fairly confident whyte wouldn't be able to just blast hin out early. He definitely doesnt hit signfiicantly harder than those 2 and he has even less skill than either of them.

 

Neither man fights like Fury so this is a ridiculous premise. Whyte has the skills to cause Wilder problems, but he's pretty hittable, and anyone Wilder can hit is in trouble. Miller has no head movement whatsoever and relies on just being able to absorb punishment and dish out his own. I'm not sure how that goes down with Wilder, but I don't think it's the smartest tactic.

 

Ok we can go back and forth all day about Wilder's resistance; rocked by Molina, dropped by Sconiers and Nichols etc etc etc Fury wobbled Wilder.

Whyte can bang, more so than Fury. Please, let us not open the endless pit of worms that is Luis Ortiz, unproven, unaccomplished, falsely-named "boogeyman", he is irrelevant. We can only gauge how good he is after improving his resume.

Just stop with Ortiz, unknown quantity.

AJ is rangy, better skilled than Wilder, yet Whyte caught him a few times too.

 

I think Wilder KOs them both. Neither are in any way exceptional whereas Wilder is with respect to that power.

 

I would love to see Whyte fight Wilder would be a great brawl and i would put money on Whyte beating Wilder .

 

Ortiz is more skilled than anyone whyte beat and hits just as hard as whyte. He is the #4 or #5 guy in the division.
