Those are the words of Deontay Wilder. So in Wilder's head, he fought the best ever Tyson Fury. A man that had to lose 10 stone in weight, over 2 years of inactivity, taking drugs and suffered depression, but in Wilder's head there could possibly be no better version of Tyson Fury. What a delusional person. Truth is Wilder couldn't of got a better chance of beating Tyson Fury, and he couldn't even take that chance. Next time Fury is going to be in even better fighting shape, he's going to be even sharper, he's going to be lighter, stonger. Oh my god, Wilder is in such big trouble that his team are going to look for Joshua knowing their fighter's chances of beating Fury is just a punchers chance.

Who wins the rematch if it happens?

So he should have no problems with a rematch then?

Honestly, I think even Wilder realises he lost that fight. These are just the typical self-confidence boosting statements boxers make in the aftermath of a loss. Not really anything to be taken too seriously.

i think Wilder will go for Joshua. Joshua is a top boxer with great punching power and technique, but his stamina is crap. If Joshua can't get Wilder out early, then Wilder could take him out later in the fight, as Wilder does have the better stamina than Joshua.

We only get to see the best of Wilder against truck drivers, pastry chefs and 45 year old heart patients

Wilder knows the truth. Zero chance he is taking the rematch straight away.

Fighters have their image to protect. By saying what he did he knows his fans will believe him.

Bellew got KO'd by Usyk and admitted Usyk is just better. That's very rare when a fighter does that.

As for a rematch, yes he knows he's only got a punchers chance, but that punchers chance nearly got him a KO. Some refs would have seen Fury with his head flat on the canvas after 5 seconds and just waved it off, he very nearly won.

In wilders defence he is an unbeaten world champ. Accepting a defeat can't be easy. He has found faults in his own performance and had he corrected those mistakes he would of won, in his head of ofcourse.

In fairness though, Bellew was retiring and had nothing to lose by admitting it. Wilder will come out and say he won, can still get better etc to protect his stock for the next negotiations. His stance is looking weak for the Joshua fight at the moment.

Then I guess you just proved my point further.

And you're right, in fact Bellew made excuses for his previous losses to Cleverly (saying he won when he didnt) and Stevenson (weight drained).

:lol::lol: Wilder was Fury's warm up fight after being an obese cokehead on the couch for 3 years so hes fully fit vs the Joshua's, Whyte's and Miller's of the division.

Hard to say , i predicted Fury would win but then lose the rematch.

Wilder was 212 which puts him at a disadvantage off the go wheather ppl acknowledge it or not. Fury tired him out by making Wilder push him back and tying him up in spots.

Just on the match up itself not sure if one can't call this 50/50 all the time bc you will have different outcomes depending who does what. If Fury would just work on proper punch placement in getting more force behind them it's a no brainer who wins. But he's simply showing he's not going to do it , he could have unloaded on Wilder in round one , did half hearted punches , stopped punching in the middle of a combo and looked at Wilder?

For this reason I'm sticking with my gut instinct and Wilder will bulk up just a bit and be more patient and knock out Fury. I do have Fury ranked over him but it won't change unless Wilder gets a W off him bc maybe Fury makes changes to?

This fight proved that Wilder has even worse stamina.

Really don't want to see negative comments made about Deontay right now. That draw, made him a shared lineal champion, between Fury.
