If You Were Amir Khan, Who Would You Fight: Kell Brook Or Terence Crawford?

Khan will fight Crawford because he will do anything to duck that Brook fight. He will even take less money for the Crawford fight, just so he can further avoid Brook.

If I was Khan I would have faced Brook years ago, but Khan is clearly worried that his chin shatters into a thousand peices on the floor once Brook lands on him.

Any logical person would take the Brook fight, because its for more money and has alot more public interest in it.

 

Khan is the best fighter Crawford will have faced so this isn’t bad. It’s just Crawford is a nightmare matchup for khan. Fast and hits hard. Couldn’t pick a worse opponent. I could even see khan outboxing Spence but Crawford?

 

The Brook fight is always there for him, so I can understand why the Crawford fight may be happening.

Khan will lose to Crawford, but his stock won't drop too much. Lose to Brook and it'll be game over.

 

Khan would take any fight other than Brook if the money was even remotely comparable.
Khan knows what he's doing, take the big names, get credit for 'stepping up', essentially sell his chin to the highest bidder who isn't Kell Brook.
When/if he finally does agree to the fight, he'll want to use the excuse he was past prime and Kell was bigger.
I disagree with those who suggest a Brook-Khan fight does good numbers in a year from now. If Khan waits another year or so and gets starched in the meantime, no-one will give a sh1t.
They ain't fine wine, atgs like Mayweather and Pac.

 

If I was Khan then I'd basically only be fighting for money now, he's just trying to squeeze out as much money from what's left of his career so Faryal doesn't leave him. So whoever pays more would be my choice, if it's Crawford then I'd fight Crawford, if it's Brook then I'd fight Brook.

So Hearn will need to guarantee at least what Crawford is offering for the fight, because even if Khan loses to Crawford he could still fight Khan later on and squeeze out a bit more cash.
