The casuals love him but at the biggest heavyweight fight in the States in 15 years he is dismissed as a "chicken".
You're forgetting the fact that Fury has broken America and everyone in America thinks he's brilliant. Just a shame that in his last domestic fight he was booed out of the ring.
As a rule I take what Hearn says with a pinch of salt. I'm sure Eddie would agree that's the best approach (if you asked him in private). But it's quite clear that Wilder's team didn't send a contract for their $50m counter-offer. I mean, Wilder screamed from the rooftops about everything else. He wouldn't let Hearn get away with repeated barefaced lies about Matchroom never having received the contract.
Now looks like a sh1thouse tho....Sooo if Wilder and Fury rematch imagine where that leaves an AJ v matchroom bumfight
If and when Whyte beats Chrisora I think he deserves another shot at AJ l,and I don't think AJ deserves **** for that fight if he fights one of the other 2 later in the year. That's assuming he beats Whyte which i dont think is a foregone conclusion.
Wilder is in a tough spot, Fury won't fight him again in the US and AJ is getting better with each fight. So the Bronze Dosser has a choice: Fury or AJ in the UK. Or maybe he'll tuck his tail and go fight Breazeale for 1$ mil on Showtime.
Fury doesn't have the power to knock him out and Wilder is unlikely to be on the wrong end of a decision if he fights in the US. He knows if he connects he can knock him down, so although he'd likely be outboxed once again Fury is the lower risk and the direction he will go in.
Baz Earn on Talksport today confirming that Tony Dosh is all about the money and will never accept a 50/50 split. Eh Day not the top dog in Matchroom Boxing by the sound of it.
That point is understandable but it it wrong that big Tony Dosh PPV, already a very big Multi-Millionaire, should be misleading the public by stating that it is not about the money. Surely with his bank balance that he will never spend, is his legacy not the most important consideration now? If he refuses the big fights at this time for the reason of money and fights another 20 puddings - people's perception of him will be no different to Kell Brook when looking back.
If i were him the main reason wouldn't be the money, like you say he's swimming in it. It would be be the principle of the matter. He is in effect being asked to take a pay cut by one guy who's has spent the last 3 years getting hammered whilst disrespecting my hard won achievements and another guy who has been cherry picking his way across the division and now throws insults in the hope of getting rich on the audience I've built. You think I'm going to give a bumper payday to the guy with the stuffed resume that calls me a coward and says I'm being milked by my promoter? Am I ****!
