I always forget that you weren't around quite as long as me. The only names around here I recognize who were 100% here before me (I started posting in late 2002, before my current moniker in 2003) are @Farmboxer and @marting (but there may be others). In any case, there were 2 major crashes that reset the sight. I *thought* they were in 2003 and again in 04 or 05. There were 2 versions of The Golota Express before the most recent incarnation. But the 2 prior versions - at least one of them - had stuff from the Byrd and Ruiz fights when the topics were hot.
The only major shift I remember happened a little after I got here around 2012, I think. Place was still called Eastsideboxing back then, before management split. It might have been the same time that we stopped being able to post pictures and I think the lounge started requiring a second login. Now, you can't even access old threads from around 2004 for some reason.
Threads from 2004 have been long gone. What you're referring to wasn't one of the major crashes. Those were (I believe) in 2003 and 2005. Threads from after then I believe are still available (but I've not specifically checked that in ages, so I could be wrong).

I might have to lock it up soon. (doubt it would reach Mayweather vs. Berto, let alone top 5 territory anyway, if left to just legitimate postmortem discussion of the fight beyond the specific rants & tangents getting their own dedicated threads)
Man, I've got so much work to do ...those dead links in the OP (the URL's need to be rerouted from their original "eastsideboxing.com/forum" locations to boxingforum24.com) are long overdue to be fixed. Just...such a daunting task, hours of bitch-work liable to give me carpal tunnels syndrome, which is why I've been putting it off - and barely updating this archive - for years.
