Joyce was originally rumored to face Gerald Washington on the Wilder/Fury card. Gerald is clearly higher than Hanks, likely at least as high as Chisora at this time.

I think Joe Joyce has bit more than he can chew. I don't think he expected Ortiz to actually accept, and seemed quite shocked at the airport when Ortiz said of course i'll fight you. This fight is a bit to early for Joyce I reckon.

I don't think he's as good as Chisora, but would be a decent step up.

I keep saying it but HWs tend to get stepped up quickly in the UK.

    I would favour Joyce

It's a calculated risk it should be a good fight even if Joyce loses he will still give Ortiz a better fight than Ortiz last 2 opponents.

    I haven't seen Chisora in a while.

Gerald is more similarly framed to Fury/AJ/Wilder, and I see him often as he's LA based. Met him quite a few times, actually. He trains with some buddies of mine in LA.

Neither agreeing or disagreeing with you, just chatting away.

Joyce knocks him out quicker than Wilder did

Worth checking out his fight with Takam. Good scrap.

Joyce is very easy to hit. Having said that, he must be able to box, given his amateur background. Perhaps he boxes to his oppositions level.

Either way, I reckon he needs to take any opportunity that comes his way to get him in the mix; he’s no spring chicken.

Didn't realise that joe Joyce was 33 years old. I said the fight was too early, but Joe's got to go up the levels quick as he's 33.

will do. Been very busy with family and work this last year. Wilder/Fury was my first live card in over a year. I've managed to keep up with HBO, Showtime, and ESPN, but very little overseas stuff.

he'll still likely lose I reckon. There's a huge difference in experience. I would say Ortiz by stoppage round 7.

You won't come across many 240-260lb man mountains who can do this

Technically it shouldn't be possible for someone of his size and dimensions to do that but JJJ is a very special one.
