He should fight Ortiz next. Joyce is trying to force the issue as he knows it will leave him in good stead. Barring that Miller, Kabayel would be a good fight for him. Winnable definitely and he’s ranked 8 or above in 3 of the alphabets.
He took the Matchroom gold coin and now he has to accept the reality and the consequences. Which is he always was a pawn in the MR armoury to advance Project Joshua, and now there is a somewhat urgent need to make compelling fights for the AJ that can be sold as something vaguely competitive, he doesn't really have a look in. Except to build the profile of someone like Usyk or Miller.
If Wilder fights Fury again and AJ goes another route I'd break the bank to get Breazeale over to try and get that WBC mando.

Couldn't have said it better. Honesty I think him vs Miller would be a classic! Their styles mesh and they both could get 2 fights out of it.
He should stop ducking Ortiz and fight him. Failing that... Povetkin starches him Fury toys with him Wilder hurts him I think a fight against Miller would be fun. I also think that a win against Parker is the only win he will score against top opposition.
