After seeing the damage that’s brought upon to Adonis Stevenson, it still irks me how people can just call any fighter, even ones who hold a title, a bum when these guys put their health and lives on the line. Edit: I still stand by what I said. RIP Maxim Dadashev
It's easy to call people bums from behind a keyboard. It's one of the things I dislike about a lot of the threads on here. Someone is either a bum or an ATG. It does little to stimulate discussion of fighters if the views are so extreme.
Anyone thats ever been punched in a boxing, thai boxing or whatever setting, knows the top dudes deserve credit no matter what. Even if you don't like 'em!
Again been saying it forever, they put there lives on the the line for our entertainment, respect that if nothing else.
What does the term have to do with Stevenson and the predicament is in? Who ever called Stevenson a bum (other than trolls). I'm not seeing the connection here.
No they don’t, they do it for monetary gain. A vast majority of fighters, even the ones that are idolised, couldn’t give two shits about fans. That being said anybody who steps in the ring deserves respect
Ali called Henry Cooper a bum 'Prior to the fight, Ali called Cooper "a tramp, a bum, and a cripple not worth training for." So Henry dropped Ali on his bum for calling him a bum This content is protected After the fight Ali said Cooper wasn't a bum anymore 'Immediately after the fight, Ali retracted the abuses he had directed at Cooper before the fight and declared: "Cooper's not a bum any more. I underestimated him. He's the toughest fighter I ever met and the first to really drop me.He's a real fighter." There's a moral to this story, you ******* bum!
Tomato can, journeyman, cab driver are fine. I think its more the lingo. A bum is a terrible derogatory term to call a fighter considering a lot of these guys are more likely to have serious brain health problems or end up in the street.
