Except Lomachenko 2 years ago said that he'd fight Pac in a year. And then when it was presented, he said that it would have be to at a catchweight of 137. Then he said that it would have to be at 135.

Conditions changed as the fight got closer to becoming a reality. Really? Respect for Pac? That's what you got from that?

And Lomachenko is hardly respectful. He's not disrespectful, but the guy takes pleasure in humiliating guys in the ring, moron.

This. PAC has been a shot fighter for at least 3 years. Crushing an old and broken fighter wouldn't do much for Loma's legacy. Also, PAC's drawing power is basically in the toilet now, so I doubt Loma would even make that much fighting him anyway. If Garcia pulls off the upset over Spence, which isn't impossible considering how green Spence is a Garcia-Loma fight would be big.

Loma should have taken this fight when it was offered big money fight very winnable and would have raised his profile. Dumb decision not taking this fight.

    You mean smart decision.

Lomachenko wouldn't have a significant size/weight advantage over Pac. He's not a dirty, bullying, grappling, wrestling kinda guy. He also doesn't have concussive Marquez/welterweight power for Pac to be weary of. And Lomachenko loves coming forward and throwing a million punches. The styles and power matchups favor Pac.

Loma's not dumb. Don't buy the excuses he's doling out. He knows it's a fight he could very well lose.

    Pac by KO.

Dumb decision I think Loma would probably beat Pac and he missed out on a good payday and raising his profile.

Hes almost 31 and doesnt want to waste his time. He seems legitimately concerned about his legacy. Rigo was 37 and Loma said before the fight hes not afraid of him. Hes just too old, "he has too many years".

The fans and media pump up guys for fighting old legends. But the real ones know what's up and wont be fooled.

Linares ripped Lomachenko w/ some beautiful combos with all or most of the punches landing. Loma doesn't survive a combo from Pac. Pac WILL land. Hell, Horn is an extremely durable guy and he was 165+ pounds on fight night and Pac had him out on his feet.

Pac is the glitch in the matrix.

    :deal:

Then why the weight games? Why say a catchweight of 137? Why say 135 or no fight?

Pacquiao raised his profile for beating DLH. But he received zero credit for beating him.

Loma maybe doesnt want the same thing.

Look, I'm a Lomachenko fan. Fact is Pac would be Lomachenko's best opponent to date and most difficult—even at 40. It would be the most significant win of Lomachenko's career that includes money and LEGACY.

I understand that the fight would get good media coverage some sort of 24/7 series before the fight. It was a great opportunity for Loma in a very winnable fight. He should have taken this fight much better fight than say Pedraza, which is a waste of time an does nothing for his legacy or raise his profile.
