I actually quite enjoy Warren having a little success for a change. It’ll just make it even more enjoyable when it all goes tits up for him again.
I'm still waiting for Warren to explain why Wilder v Fury tickets were on stubhub. His supposed to be against that...............
Give it a rest eh mate. You could walk upto the Staples Centre and buy tickets at face value on the night of the fight...you could also buy them at face value on all of the websites including stub hub. Its hardly the same situation as what was happening with AJ tickets prior to the Povetkin fight. Also the venue and tickets etc had fcuk all to do with Warren...even Anthony Yarde and his team where apparently sat in the $75 section.
How stupid Hearn must feel now trying to tie Wilder down to a deal before the Fury fight. They honestly though It was a foregone conclusion and AJ v Wilder was the only true mega fight out there. Fury putting the show on that he did has put himself well in to the mix, arguably at the top of the pile.
The only chance that Hearn has got in order to play a part in the next round of fights outside AJ would be because Wilder or Fury don’t want to do business with each other again, which is extremley unlikely. Things in boxing change very quickly, 4 months ago Hearn Snr and Jnr would have been sitting there talking to AJ telling him “Don’t you worry about that $50m guarantee son, we call all the shots, let Wilder come to us with his begging bowl...” to counteract that, Wilder and Fury came together as gentlemen and carved out their own opportunity. Now it’s AJ out in the cold and taking a beating on social and too a certain extent mainstream media and his rivals look set to come together again for a mega money rematch in Vegas. However, as I said things can turn quickly and at some point AJ might get back all the momentum behind him. As for the conning the fans about Vegas, are you an absolute nutcase? That’s the trip of a lifetime, especially for the travelling boys with the cash to go out there like the guys who followed him to LA last week. As for people paying to watch at home, I don’t think there is anybody who would prefer to watch the rematch take place in The MEN rather then glitzy Vegas, 5am or not.
^^^ Preach brother. The balance of power in Joshua's favour in every aspect has been noticeably reduced. Barry Hearn himself said what the "plan" was with him back in the Summer in that fishing video, Wilder in 2 years. Now that has all had to be re-addressed and they are fuming because they know they have to manufacture "dangerous" opponents to keep the casuals buying PPV's. I have no doubt whatsoever that Finkel and Warren, both having been stung by him, are devising ways to freeze Eddie out and keep AJ's PR understated for as long as possible i.e. in a year after the rematch has been and gone. I expect Fury to go in on this more during his next Rogan show.
Dude they were sold on stubhub. They same stubhub Warren dislikes and disapproves of. Don't try and justify it when you're man has numerous times ranted about stub hub being against the fans. Whether you could buy this at face value is irrelevant. That's just down to it not selling. The point is people could freely resell them on stubhub. Warren is against this, well he says he is.
We’re not talking about who’s bigger bud, we’re talking about who’s better. I’m just pointing out that both sides have a viable argument for that, and that their careers are entwined. One released the belts that the other fella would have otherwise (arguably) have waited a couple more years to challenge for.
Well, it appears Warren (and lots of people) ARE talking about who's bigger, hence talk of Fury getting 50/50, Fury becoming a PPV star whilst his former fanbase turn on Joshua and so on. I agree with you by the way. Joshua clearly is bigger but an argument definitely exists for who is better.
Haha, hooray we sort of agree on something I would argue that if accepting a 50/50 with Fury is the only way to make the fight happen then I think Joshua should grab his hand off and attempt to prove he is the number 1 boxer. 50% in a fight against Fury is worth a lot lot more than 70% of the deal against a Whyte, Pulev, Miller and co.
People's champ yet they want to fight in Vegas? Warren is confused, Fury needs to fight Wilder in the UK at a big venue with cheap tickets so 'the people' can see their champ. Not fight in Vegas in front of Hollywood celebrities, NFL/NBA players in the front row.
Anyone can put tickets in stub hub though? Unless I'm wrong? Difference is Eddie Hearn lies and says events are sold out and at the same time puts loads on stub hub at inflated prices, hence lying to and fleecing fans
You ever thought for a second that the average fan might not afford the trip to Vegas? You obviously earn too much doing what you do me old fruit!
