No offense to pedraza but I think lomachenko didn't want to mess his body up against that type of opponent unless he had to. In round 11 you saw what happens when he steps on the gas. Why ruin your arm against pedraza? He will need it in his next fight.

Well it was fairly obvious to most people but some people will use this performance to undermine him till the world ends

I thought Lomachenko looked fine. First fight back and he done what he wanted with Pedraza. In a proper and more competitive fight he will come alive.

I knew this would be an easy fight for Loma, since Pedraza just isn’t on his level, but Loma also needed to test the shoulder, so I didn’t see a problem.

That said besides Mikey Garcia there isn’t anybody I can see competing with Loma currently at 135 or 140. If Mikey ends up beating Spence I’d love to see Mikey and Loma fight at 147, since both guys would bring some life to 147.

It’s interesting but I think 147 is beyond Loma and Mikey. We’ll know the score when Mikey faces Spence but I can’t see him pulling it off.

I cant imagine Loma at 147, he would need to bulk up like a pebble and change his style accordingly.

So what was Lomachenko’s father yelling at him in the corner every round starting after the 8th round or so? I never saw him so animated.

And even earlier. He were giving him specific advice — what to do (how to fight).

Loma should move back down force Tank to fight him and then entice LS Cruz and Frampton (if he passes his next fight) up to face him. Those are fights with good names. Right now he is stuck waiting for Garcia and he can’t move up anymore.

Yeah, I tend to agree with this. He was probably constantly testing his shoulder throughout the fight in subtle ways. He stepped it up when he saw he had buzzed Pedraza. Given the size and length disparity, Loma had to take his time.
