Loma was outside of range trying to get inside for most the fight, even if he was worried about his shoulder, it's not like the opportunities to throw uppercuts were constantly presented to him. Think about Pedraza's head movement, why would you try to throw an uppercut? He was weaving side to side practically the whole fight, a lot more than his other fights. Think about how often Loma was given the opportunity to work off his jab tonight. The other thing Pedraza did well today is stay aligned with Loma all fight. When Loma tried to move to his side, Pedraza was always ready. It was obvious he or his trainer studied Loma, prepared a well thought out gameplan and executed it tonight. On top of that the ref told Loma early not to pull the head down, which is another strategy Loma masks in clever ways to get to advantageous positions as well as throw short uppers or the right hook. You're taking credit away from the good things both fighters did tonight. Pedraza with his gameplan, and Loma still managing to find a way to beat it with such a reach and height disadvantage. Was he 100% today? Probably not, but there was more to it than just his shoulder. If he was taking it easy because he was worried about his shoulder, and in just 1st gear, he should have been able to put on a clinic with one hand. You ever see Jesus Chavez vs Morales, half way through the fight Chavez injured himself, and even though he lost he still put up a hell of a fight with one hand for half the match. If Loma was in Chavez's position, you think he takes it easy?
The JLC of the first Floyd fight actually did beat Floyd. Lol! And Loma would have defeated Jose but there is no time machine so we’ll never know. But we do know what actually happened and the vast majority had JLC beating Floyd by UD in the first fight. The Salido fight was closer. And many feel Loma won and even more feel Salido should have been DQ’d for the 40+ low blows. So Floyd has actually lost more clear and legitimately than Loma ever has. Castillo didn’t need low blows or coming in way overweight. Also Floyd lost several times in the ams and failed in Atlanta. Let that sink in
He looked like himself. If you've paid attention, outside of the buggering that Salido gave him, he's had a tougher time with guys his size, who had some boxing ability. Linares, and Pedraza. Loma is lucky that Russell Jr. is a midget, because he'd have been in trouble if they had the same dimensions physically. You respond every time that someone has the audacity to not swallow Loma's balls like you do. You post picks of other man's genitals in the lounge, and you come in here getting all bitchy when other's don't give Loma the homo balll massage that you do. You gay.
Pbf also fought jlc with a bad shoulder was out weighed by close to 20 pounds and jlc 100000 light years better than pedraza and jlc was seen as the best and champ at his weight horrible comparison.
Wow a boxer getting buzzed in a boxing match ive never seen that before. You forgot to mention that he wasnt knocked down and won the fight going away.
The bar is just that high. His critics flatter him as much as his fans with the high standard. Its telling that winning 9 or 10 rounds off Pedraza and knocking him down twice in his first fight back from shoulder surgery is being looked at as a disappointment by so many.
The more appropriate question is: "how many fights did Floyd Mayweather Jr have at the time of fighting those guys? The answer is, roughly the same number of fights as Lomachenko had when he fought Pedraza. Age isn't as relevant as number of boxing bouts are, when determining how prepared a boxer is.
This. He gave another champion a drubbing in the 11th, landed virtually every shot of consequence and probably won 9 rounds while unifying. If that's "exposed" then we're setting the bar so high for Loma other fighters would need a trampoline on top of a stepladder to reach it.
His critics will always criticize Even the Wilder fanatics are sticking with the long count nonsense As for the fight that was not the Loma we’ve seen most recently Let’s see how he performs in his next few matches
Complete and total BS. Not all ATGs in their weight categories perform in the same way. Duran was as tough as they come and would take one to get one, and his one was better than his opponents. Floyd was completely different. He slipped and slid and was content to get the W without getting hit, and he did it as well as any fighter who has laced them up. Chavez similar to Duran hit hard and could take a lot of punishment. They all do it differently, but to say Loma isn't in this pantheon, you are as wrong as one can be.
