I feel both Foreman and Tyson were overrated during their 90`s comebacks, but who would have won if they had met whenever this fight could have been made? Could the fight have been made before the Cooney v Foreman fight? That was the fight that got everybody questioning whether Foreman could beat Mike.

Tyson beats the hell out of foreman pre prison, post prison Forman survives Tyson’s early attack, wears him out and gets the KO later in the fight. I know a lot of people pick old foreman over tyson at any point, I don’t see it, Forman can’t take flush punches from tyson for 12 rounds, it’s not like foreman was elusive either. Holyfield landed a 20 punch combination, if that was tyson he would be done.

Too much risk for Mike with too little reward.

Didn't someone from Tyson's camp admit to dodging Foreman?

This is probably the bottom line.

Also Foreman would never have taken the fight, unless there was a title on the line!

Maybe, but I also didn`t mention than D`Amato told Tyson when he was mentoring him, that fighting Foreman the way Frazier did was suicidal if you were short armed for a heavy like Tyson.

Cus never said that. It's a farce. Nowhere in the history of civilization did Cus EVER tell Mike to avoid Foreman.

This **** rises faster than Jason Voorhees on Friday The 13th!!! Ironchamp will enter this thread within a few days and shut it down with proper links on why Foreman never signed the dotted line.

I think we all know the fight would've happened if Tyson didn't go to prison. Post prison it would've happened but Foreman had trouble with Axel Schulz, so it didn't have the momentum it needed. Tyson-Bowe and Tyson-Holyfield were the fights fans clamored for.

Pure unadulterated fear on Tysons part. Nothing less. Paralyzing terror that Foreman was under his bed at night. When Foreman was around Tyson turned from Big John Stud to Steppin' Fetchin'. Tyson was Floyd Patterson to Foremans' Sonny Liston, only Floyd finally manned up and of course big bad Mike **** himself whenever a fight with GEORGE was mentioned.

I remember Tyson's hilarious line about "Foreman dying of rigamortis", he didnt seem too worried there and that's on tape, more than you can say about these Cus pleading with Tyson to avoid Foreman myths, or Mike's begging king not to set up a fight with him because he was so petrified....
