Does anyone have info on this hypothetical fight and what were the thoughts on it when it took place in the 60`s?

Your smart phone is supposed to have your computing more computing power then was used in the space capsule during for the first Moon Landing. Under any circumstances the result is only as reliable as the information provided. Therefore, I put no stock in any 60’s computer fight simulation.

When I look the success Carpentier had in round one before hurting himself, I think Corbett who was very hard to catch and even bigger could do the same. Dempsey's defense on film does not look good. The question is can Corbett avoid Dempsey's attack early in the fight?

Listen to the old timers opinions, particular from Nat Fleischer 12:46, confirms he saw Corbett in exhibitions 13:22 Nat picks Corbett as the winner, his reasoning is solid even if you disagree with the pick.

As for who wins here, listen and find out! Also listen to the post fight comments, some of which are golden. Rocky Marciano's story of Sullivan is classic if true. And I think it was.

Yes, the Ali v Marciano computer fight was bull, when they reconstructed the fight scenes from the computer Ali did comment that he wa shocked at how quick Rock could slip shots because even those it was staged, Marciano knew how to attack with his head off center.

Dempsey was easy to hit with the jab because he attacked from a crouch moving his head down and forwards, bringing him closer to the other guy meaning the lead hand didn`t have to travel far so was harder to see in time and evade, I saw a demo where Corbett was jabbing though and he was very awkward, jabbing the wrong way, his jab wouldn`t have been as good as Tunney`s was v Dempsey it seems.

It would be more reliable that te actual computer fight itself! All jokes aside Demsey`s body did look a lot stronger than Corbet`s from clips that I`ve sen, just saying.

Forget the demo. See Fitz vs Corbett. You can view about 26 minutes of ring footage. Corbett's jab is on display, but what made him dangerous is his speed and athletic ability, not necessarily his technique. Corbett's ability to bend at the waist and deliver a straight tone to the body, then quickly get out of range is impressive. And he could switch it up with either hand.

Tunney was far more text book, but not quite in Corbett's class as an athlete. Either way Dempsey had issues with speedy fighters.

GTFOH. Corbett was a pansy. He'd poop in his little thongs during the pre-fight introductions, forcing a cancellation
due to toxic waste matter on the canvas.

That reminds me what if Duran really had stomach cramps during the 'no mas' bout and was scared of shitting in the middle of the ring and being an iconic part of folklore for an even more embarrssing thing than quiting v the sugarman?!

Didn't Holmes puke in a plastic bag in his corner after Tyson ko'd him?
But pooping would be the worst. I wonder if that ever happened... surely it MUST have happened at least once in all boxing history!

No, I don`t think so, Former middleweight puncher from the 80`s Mathew Hinton stated that he once NEARLY soiled his trunks because he went into a bout with a rib injury and the pain nearly made him excrete! But I have seen footage of a female MMA figter crapping herself in the middle of a bout, that **** weren`t pretty! But it wa only a smear of crap on the floor, no biggie!

“I just had to take a massive ****” would’ve actually been a good reason.
