Wow, talk about taking height off people. You think they are usually 2 inches shorter than they are billed. Crazy. Where do you get this?

Lot of data out there about Wlad to pin down his height accurately. He was about 6'5.5. Now, we give these exact figures, but a person is taller in the morning than they are in the evening. Wlad may have started off the day just over 6'6, and probably finished it under 6'5.5. But he was definitely above 6'5 even, let alone 6'4.5. Ton's of accurately pegged comps. Wilder was demonstrably taller than him in photos, well over an inch. I'd say 6'7 is fair, certainly out of bed, but there's no way he's under 6'6.5. Miller looks a pure 6'4, what is your source for him "admitting" to 6'2? I mean, this isn't wrestling, I can buy an inch of difference from billed height, but to peg everyone as 2 + inches below what they say is weird.

He is. They all are bigger than that. You don't add two + inches to your height on this stuff.

Ive had this convo with jackomano before. He is wayyy off lol.

U can see AJ in that bbc documentary having to slightly tilt his head when walking through a living room door (which is 6’6) in socks. Just before the Takam fight Eddie was being interviewed and he said something along the lines of AJ just being measured backstage and he was a touch under 6’7. AJ was on American tv recently and was asked his height to which he replied "6’6, 6’7".

AJ 6’5 and Wlad 6’4.5 lol jesus christ

Just researched that basketball player he uses to prove Wilder isnt 6’7. The player is 6’8, not 6’6. He has took two inches off his height as well lol

If Wlad is 6 foot 4, then George Foreman is 6 foot 1. Wlad dwarfs him.

Parker isn't nearly that short, I don't see why you think that.

    Hahaha

    Joshua 6'5" ~ 6'5.5"
    Wilder 6'6"
    Fury 6'7.5, pushing it
    Parker 6'1.5"?
    Miller around 6'2"
    Povetkin no taller than 6'1"
    Whyte 6'1"~6'2"

I think where the discrepancy comes from is they take your morning height. One of the above posters tried to explain away some wonkiness with morning vs night height. Well when you generally get to around 6'1" ~ 6'3", you start to lose more than an inch to spinal compression. Guys in the 6'4"+ range can lose up to 2-3 inches from daily activities. My take is in order to hype up the heavy festivities the fighters are measured in the morning. Perhaps with shoes on, even.

Wlad was always listed at 6'4.5" in the Olympics. I used to see Wlad at the Staples Center, since he and his wife used to attend Lakers games often and my Uncle has season tickets in the same row as where they would sit. Vitali is 6'6" or close to it and the few times I seen both Wlad and Vitali together Vitali was noticeably taller. Also, Wlad seems to be insecure about his height, since he always wears lifts in the pre-fight press shows. That said being legitimately 6'4.5" still makes Wlad a tall heavyweight, since in shoes he'd be about 6'5". For promotional purposes Wlad is listed at 6'6" when he just isn't.

Wlad's Olympic listing, which is 6'4.5"
    https://www.sports-reference.com/olympics/athletes/kl/wladimir-klitschko-1.html

This is from an article discussing Hayden and Wlad and their height difference.

"Hayden Panettiere looks tiny next to 6ft 4in Wladimir Klitschko during a family day out on the beach in Barbados. Hayden is just 5ft 1 inch while her partner is 6ft 4in"
    https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/5645661/hayen-panettiere-husband-husband-wladimir-klitschko/

Also, Athletes always have their stats exaggerated and boxers are no exception. I played college basketball and even scouted players for two years and always took my tape measure with me, since the tape measure didn't lie. To their credit some fighters are honest about their heights such as Joe Bugner admitting he wasn't 6'4", but instead was 6'3.5" or Walcott admitting he was 5'9", since his 6'0" listing was laughable. Blackburn measured Joe Louis early his career at 6'1", but of course Louis was promoted as being 6'2" throughout his career.

Wlad 6'4.5" and Joseph Parker 6'3"
    https://resources.stuff.co.nz/conte...enByNine.710x400.14bwdy.png/1476913335651.jpg

Wlad is taller than Parker, but not by much.

Tyson Fury 6'6.5" and Joseph Parker
    https://resources.stuff.co.nz/conte...enByNine.710x400.1nwz2t.png/1516087089566.jpg

Fury on the other hand is much taller than Parker.

In an interview with Michael Woods Miller corrects Woods, who says Miller is 6'5", but Miller quickly states that he is 6'2". Considering how much Joshua, who is legitimately 6'5" toward over Miller I can see why Miller wanted to set the record straight.

“For sure, for sure, for sure,” the 21-0-1 hitter, who has 18 KOs, stated. “He’s 242, at 6-5, 6-2…I know what I can do, and I’m not even one hundred percent. It’s comin, baby, it’s comin.

Aren't professional athletes often measured with their shoes on?

I always assumed you could deduct ~1".

Wlad is most likely wearing lifts in the picture, but Foreman is also old in the picture and has had multiple surgeries on his back, so who knows how much height Foreman has lost.

To compare here is Bowe, who is also 6'4.5" standing next to 6'3" Foreman, before Foreman had undergone any back surgeries.

Here is Bowe, who is older standing next to Wlad and Hasim Rahman.

Here is Ali with Wlad and Vitali. Wlad is taller than 6'2.5" Ali, but doesn't tower over him while 6'6" Vitali does.

I actually measured Carmelo Anthony myself back in 2001 because my coach at the time wanted to recruit him, but unfortunately he didn't want to attend college in California. Before I arrived I was told he was 6'9", but once I measured him myself he was 6'6".

Here are the official Nba lottery listings with Carmelo's height at the top and also keep in mind that basketball shoes are thick soled and can easily add 1-2 inches in height. It list him at 6'6.25".

That much you think? I was thinking around an inch..Ali was never 6 ft 3" either. Always shorter than other 6 ft 3" opponents and didn't look much taller than Cooper who was 6 ft 1". Dundee said Ali never measured over 6 ft 2" also

All your references are based on other people being shorter than their listed height as well. Carmelo Anthony is listed as 6'8", not 6'6". I'm sure you'll post Carmelo next to somebody else though stating that person is also 2" under their listed height in a never ending circle.
