he had a tough fight but every fighter does. hes clearly fighting above his weight and fighting top fighters in higher divisions. watching him is a combination of offense and defense and hes exciting to watch as he likes to press forward.
Almost every elite fighter has haters and detractors, and he's the P4P#1. He does nothing wrong, eventually beat the living s__t out of a fellow beltholder and ended up dominating. His style is fan friendly and his technique incredible. But he didn't knock the guy out or make him quit this time around.
I don't see a significant amount of hate for him, to be honest. Some detractors and some who feel his ability is overacted by some, but nothing extreme so far as I can see. Having watched it back, I actually think he fought perfectly fine against Pedraza too.

Reasons can vary. I see three big ones. 1 ) To star out with he's a once in a generation type of talent. #1 pound for pound today, unlike Mayweather and Jones, he seeks the best fighters and wants to unify as many belts as possible. When you are this good, you'll attract hater types. Its just how sports works. 2 ) Anti-European sentiment. In the recent past, this was confined to the upper weights. A lower division European super star isn't always welcome by some boxing fans. Ever notice how the haters who didn't like Klitschko, are also Kovalev, GGG and Lomachenko negative? Hmmm....each guy has a different style, weight division and personality. Yet we see a common denominator here. 3 ) His fans. He's very entertaining and comparing any #1 pound for pound talent to past greats like Benny Leonard, or Roberto Duran just doesn't sit well with some people. Fans are fans. As long as they do it with class, I'm okay with it.
