I knew he was fighting Rocky Fielding, the british level guy I've only seen get blown out by Callum Smith after getting awkwardly cornered. I didn't know they were fighting this weekend. This fight is trash. I never really minded Floyd taking the Mayweather route as he is a generational talent. When a fighter like Canelo takes the Mayweather route, boxing loses. I wonder what "the story" of this fight will be?
Whats worse is there is talk of a third match with GGG in May. GGG has been deteriorating since his fight with Kell brook and Canelo will fight him 100 more times if it means he can avoid Jacobs, Charlo and Andrade.
I have the DAZN app On my phone so I’ll likely watch it As for being hyped for a canelo fight this is the least hyped I’ve been since Kirkland Just no excitement for this Even the big boxing sites are barely covering this story I expect Canelo to beat the crap out of this dude
Lol the Wilder Fury fight has taken away all the limelight. This proves that the heavyweight division is where it's really at provided there is versatility, personalities and quality
Maybe if Canelo had legitimately beaten Golovkin, people wouldnt have been so turned off by the corruption.
This is nothing but a STAGED Sham for Canelo to get another division on his resume without the need for Clembuterol.
There have been threads here over how this might be a cherrypick blowing up in his face due to size diference, but that's highly unlikely. Stepping up in weight against a beltholder, but in this case the difference between the primary and secondary WBA beltholders is enormous, and it's in a relatively weak division.
its a 3rd tier belt (really just a runners up prize/trinket) as a staybusy warm-up. Whats your story?
