I think Erik Morales would have torn up Loma

I can see all of those things. Morales is physically and stylistically a very tough match for Loma. Plus you have to remember that Loma doesn't punch hard and Morales campaigned up to welterweight. Loma fought at three weights and Morales fought at five.

On the other hand, Marquez has been known to start late and be a little gun shy. Loma might just outwork him.

When it comes to PAC though, too fast too strong. Loma gets dropped or put to sleep.

He won a title 3 weight classes lower than the weight he fought Raheem at.

Yep stylistically Marquez has had trouble with pure boxers.

Erik Morales was a scared bum. He didn't have the heart to fight Juan Manuel Marquez and Raheem never got the proper credit for beating him from pillar to post after his Pacquiao win. Lomachenko would KO any version of Erik Morales.

What's your point? He also won titles at 130 pounds (1 weight class lower) against Pacquaio. Morales wasn't at a size disadvantage, he just didn't have the footwork to beat Raheem. I think he'd have the same problems against Loma.

You do know it's difficult to climb weight right and that 99 percent of fighters fight at the lowest weight they can make? If Raheem was as small as Morales he would have fought at 122, period.

I'm not trying to say the Raheem right is totally worthless and not relevant at all. But it's not really a big deal when it comes to Morales ability.

You've lost your mind when it comes to this topic. Morales can box and is technical and long. All wrong stylistically for JMM.

Prime for prime Morales is favored over JMM. Just being real.

I thought we were talking about Lomachenko, not Marquez. I'm not sure about Marquez-Morales, I'd probably lean towards Morales but I think it's a close fight either way. There would be a lot of pride on the line so I doubt we get a stinker and a stinker would definitely favor JMM.

I was responding to a guy who brought the topic up. But you're right the thread is mainly about Loma Morales fantasy fight.

There are only 3 outcomes in a Pacquiao-Lomachenko fight:
    • Pacquiao KO (Hattonized)
    • Pacquiao TKO (Loma gets Algieried — dropped multiple times, but he gets stopped)
    • Pacquiao W RTD (Anatoly saves his son)

Raheem's size (And Morales lack of) was more of a factor then footwork

Not sure about that. Raheem schooled Morales easily.

Of the lightweight fab4 Loma has the hardest time beating Morales. Nothing wrong with that though. Peak Morales is a beast of a fighter.
