Not everyone from Belfast is British. Plenty do call themselves that but plenty do not. The occupied counties does not make everyone 'British' by default. Far from it.

This will be one of those fights where if you score if for work rate and aggression - you will favor Warrington, If you favor clean effective punching it will be scored to Carl. Either way expect cry's of Robbery afterwards. It will be a close fight. Josh's work rate will give anyone trouble and if he does have enough power to keep Carl defensive it will play a big factor. Does anyone know what the reach difference is between the two? If Josh is able to land the jab and fire off behind it Carl is going to have to use his footwork to get him out of trouble and a fight with a high work rate favours him

On the flip side if Carls power punches can slow him or if he can find time to counter punch he wins.

I make Carl a slight favorite i think he has more ways to win but Warrington is on a roll at the moment and that momentum can be tuff to stop

That's a great preview. I'm also leaning towards Frampton, whose best is surely a level above anything we've yet seen from Josh, but I was impressed by Warrington's improvement against Selby.

No, you're right, some call themselves Northern Irish only, which is perfectly correct too. I do know this, I'm from there

Those who say they're Irish can say what they will but are from Northern Ireland. A separate country. Frampton grew up in an area where the union flag is flown all year long. He is a good guy and doesn't mind people calling him Irish, he won't correct them, but I'm only stating that if asked to give his nationality he'll tell you Northern Irish/British.

Did none of you see the uproar he caused about not getting nominated British Sports Personality of the Year a couple years ago? What Irishman would do that?

I'm not gonna make any further comment on it anyhow, this is a boxing forum

Theirs rumours Frampton leaving bt and fw after this fight with him being involved with the itv deal. . Wonder who Frank is backing. I think it's a great fight and see a close points decision. If Warrington gets the nod their will b some moaning of the home fighter and the possibility frampton leaving Warren paid the judges off. I can see it now...

Come now. Try to be real here. Championshio fights? Beam me up Scotty ! We all know that if Carl fought Josh's cv of opponents he would not get hit at all and would have all knockouts on his record. And remember old feather fists JW has only managed what? 6kos ??...against that collection of stuffs? ? ha ha ha.. . Now if Josh fought Carl's level of opponent. ....no telling what might've happened to him. It all about levels Spartacus ...all about levels.. .As you will see on the 22nd.

Holler it ain't a great preview . It completely fails to take into account how shot Lee Selby was ....beating THAT Lee Selby counts for very little.

Nessa ha haaaa! There you have it folks... The degree to which warrintons fans are out of touch with reality. Beating THAT version of Selby would have been like taking candy from a baby for the jackal. Poor Lee was so weak he could hardly stand, never mind box. Any domestic level featherweight would beat that version of Lee Selby....and in truth a domestic level one did! ...Josh Warrington.. ...

Clearly Lee was no longer comfortable at that weight and not the force he was, but all Josh Warrington could do was beat what was in front of him. He did that in style I thought, showing more to his game than I'd seen before. As I said above, I think Carl will have too much for him, but I think Warrington deserves credit for showing progression.

You're clutching at straws mate, we've had this conversation many times. Lee was no more drained for that fight than he was for the final eliminated against Brunker and all the fights up to josh

"not the force he was"!.....he was so weak a stiff breeze would have blown his feeble carcass over! Carl would've toyed with THAT weak as water version of the once-decent Lee Selby. Previously Josh struggled with another washed up formerly top fighter. ..kiko Martinez. Carl isn't washed up or weight drained.

That's good Len. That will make the win so much better for Josh.

History isn't on your side Spartacus. Where Irish greats have met their Brit opposite number the Irishman usually prevails. :)
