The same amount that dream about a intangible lineal title that they cant even put around there waist.

You ask Tyson Fury if he would want that WBC title in his possession right now or the 'Lineal title'?

Tyson said that after beating Wilder he would have returned the WBC belt back to Wilder because he doesn't want it. Whether you believe him or not that answers your idiotic question.

Fury and his fans are the only ones who care about lineal. Lineal is not mentioned about any other fighter in any other division & that’s because it’s effectively nonsense, the lineal championship can be traced back to numerous fighters who retired while ‘lineal’ therefore ending the lineage, which meant that a new lineage had to be established. Fury retired AND failed drugs tests, relinquishing any claim he had to be ‘lineal’ champion.

It’s a stupid title as it’s far too open to debate, if Lennox came back would he still be lineal? What if Fury had lost to Seferi and then Seferi had lost to an unknown journeyman that went on to lose to someone else, the heavyweight championship of the world would have been lost to the Romanian club circuit. No one would have cared what was going on in Romania with the lineal title and no one would be claiming that some random guy fighting in a canteen was the true heavyweight champ because lineal doesn’t really mean anything anymore, it is only used to argue this specific point about Fury, no one else. Fury/Warren and his fans just cling onto it because it’s the only thing they can use to say Fury is the real champ. I never see them disputing who the lineal champ is in any other division & that’s because they know it isn’t important.

to be fair, he has a case in saying this, since fury relinquished it on cheating.

Tyson Fury is the lineal champion, using the Tyson Fury method of how to define what a lineal champion is. Nothing more, nothing less.

Now we have fanboys trying to burn Joshua for prioritising the undisputed title ahead of the Fury edition of the lineal title.

    Strange times

I’m a big Fury fan but the whole lineal thing is garbage. Tangible belts that are won and lost in the ring mean a lot more

Hell I go to sleep wishing I was Intercontinental Champ of anything. And I'm neither young nor a boxer. Doesn't everyone dream of that happening?

Heres the fact joshua is scared to fight fury it's that simple. He call out wilder knowing wilder is already planning to fight fury for the rematch in April to settle it after a controversial draw. Joshua believes wilder is the easiest challenge because of wilder style while fury style will be very difficult for Joshua and joshua knows it. Also joshua dont want to lose to another UK fighter which is fury.

I agree about the lineal belt is meaningless but the fact is fury is really the man to beat since not only hes back fighting but hes still the man that beat the man which was wlad before Joshua did. I always say belts are meaningless because it doesnt prove who's really the man if you didn't beat the man you know. I know for sure fury would beat Joshua in England.

Joshua only mentioned the IBO belt because he has it, let's be honest if someone like Pulev or Miller had the IBO belt he wouldn't give a **** about it and wouldn't be calling it a unification fight.

As for lineal it's such a subjective title that has only as much value as the fighter that is deemed to hold the belt. When Zolt's Erdei was lineal did anyone give a ****. When Briggs was lineal did anyone really care?

Fury's value as an opponent has nothing to do with him being lineal and has everything to do with him being a top heavyweight and the fact he's in reality is the biggest threat to Joshua dominating for the foreseeable future.

Joshua clearly wants the WBC title more at the moment than some lineal title. He also has more long standing beef with Wilder and wants to beat him to prove his doubters wrong. Personally I think Fury is a better fight as he's clearly a better fighter than Wilder. But I get why he wants to unify all the belts first rather than fighting Fury as the Fury fight is always a fight he can take later, while if he lets Fury'Wilder 2 happen first, Wilder likely loses his belt and that fight is no longer viable as Wilder will be seen as no threat and without a belt he brings nothing to the table.

George Foreman was lineal title holder when he dropped it by controversial decision in 1997 to Shannon Briggs, he was ranked sixth by Ring magazine at the time behind Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, Michael Moorer (who he'd beaten for the title), Ray Mercer and Tim Witherspoon.

His run from beating Moorer to this point saw his win a Co troversial. Decision over Axel Schultz, Crawford Grimsley and Lou Savarese, in effect his reigns was a sham and he wasn't the best heavyweight in the world.

Lineal meant nothing then and it means nothing now. Fury may well be the best in the world but he needs tk beat Joshua to claim that mantle.
