Do they have any to lose? They already think hes a bit of an idiot, he apparently doesnt listen to them half the time anyway. They play their part with Wilder but they may aswell just tell him to swing away between rounds.
Fury winning every round but 2 knockdowns is Fury smashing him Wait till Fury is in 100% shape in 6 months time Wilder is done for.
couldn't put a dent in a noted china chin. that isn't smashing. Fury is the cure for insomnia. not for other fighters, but for the audience.
From the instructions they give him and the interviews pre-fight Wilder basically appears to be a mobile deployment unit for the right hand, nothing more. They'll probably reboot the speech unit next time they have him in the shop.
All these excuses are making it so much worse........... This has to be a record for the number of excuses for losing a matchup (it wasn't a draw and I will not say it was)
What a bad bit of luck, to get seven arm surgeries just before the fight! His team should have told the doctors to wait until afterwards, as that is clearly too many arm surgeries to have in one go. They really dropped the ball on this one.
Not surprising really. When I watch his highlights of fights and training I was always wondering how he doesn't have chronic wrist or hand problems... especially now that hes in his 30s. The way he throws his punches is asking for problems, imo. The stupid thing about it is, imo his most effective punches are when hes actually throwing properly. Its his wild, wide and odd punches that are screwing up his arms and they are his most ineffective punches.
when has he shown that? you Brits were deriding him as a bum his entire career. now it suits your needs to build him up a bit.
Wait until you realize Fury was in 100 percent shape. Fury weighed less against Wilder than he has for most of his pro fights. He weighed a whole two pounds less than he did for his fight four months earlier. That was Fury in 100 percent shape. He was sharp as hell. He did great. He just needs to stay off the floor and he'll win. I just think, in the return bout, Wilder will start faster. And if the knockdowns come in the first and second rounds next time instead of the ninth and 12th, I don't think Fury's going to make it the distance.
