Sharkey managed to floor Carnera who was the same size as Lewis. Could Sharkey pull a McCall on Lewis?

Primo was a 3rd rate hack fighter controlled by the mob fighting in a inferior era. Lewis would smash Carnera and Sharkey in the same night.

Prime Sharkey would give Rahman and McCall a decent fight. Anybody that thinks otherwise is clueless.

Okay if there is a 1 in a 1,000,000 solar alignment so Lennox Lewis comes in complacent and unmotivated, while Sharkey is hyped for the fight of his life he can win. Extremely unlikely though.

I don’t see Sharkey pulling a McCall on Lewis, but Sharkey would be one of his best opponents and I could definitely see Sharkey dropping Lewis. Sharkey in top form was a much better fighter than Tua, who despite his power never realized his full potential due to laziness.

I could see the decision going either way.

It is not impossible, but you would have to bet against it.

Lewis puts Sharkey's lights out by the end of the 1st....if Jack gets saved by the bell, then he goes in 2.

Look at the variation of punches Lewis had, he was not robotic like Wlad he was an artist and few fighters in history would handle that, see

Sharkey was never stopped early, except by Joe Louis in his last professional fight.

Lewis is quite rightly a strong favorite here, but people need to be realistic in their predictions.

Jack Sharkey was not some stumble bum!

Most of the guys Lennox is knocking senseless in the video are slow and one dimensional compared to Sharkey in his prime. Lennox had a very hard time against Holyfield, who was past prime and nearly shot at the time, since he was very slow and stiff compared to how he was just 4-5 years before, but he was still faster and harder to land clean on than Lennox's other opponents. Lennox wouldn't be landing most of his punches on Sharkey, but I also wouldn't see Sharkey knocking Lewis stiff, since he didn't have a brutal right hand like Rahman or McCall.
