Joshua’s own promoter and the rest of the UK public are unanimous in saying that Fury won that fight. So Hearn himself as validated Fury as the true champion which has made Fury a viable opponent for Joshua.

I’m a Fury fan but to say AJ needs Fury and Wilder to stay relevant is ridiculous. He’s the A-side, the guy with the belts. Everyone should be fighting each other and jostling for the shot at AJ.

Having said that, Fury and Wilder stepped up and now the onus is on AJ to do the same. Take Wilder in April or take the winner of Wilder/Fury 2, either way he should fight one of the two within his next two fights. Not to stay relevant because nobody other than Fury or Wilder takes his belts but to maintain that public image he’s created for casuals of being the undisputed best
