Did anyone watch Parker V Flores fight and what is next for the ex heavyweight champion after the Flores fight , what was the point ?
Feed him to Fury. Suspect Tyson may get frozen out by Joshua/Wilder for the time being. If he does, this is a decent fight to make with an easy promoting angle too.
People mentioning FA, it ain't going to happen when the risk/ reward isn't there for Parker won t be paying out FA any sort of 50 G's. Browne has a name and there's rematch with questionable wins over Ruiz and Takam....these are the guys he should be looking at. They want Whyte but that ain't happening . Joshua > Parker
I would like to see him against Browne next and then maybe someone like Jennings after that. Wouldn't suprise me if he had one more tune up to start next year however before looking at bigger fights later in the year. Fa has a long way to go before thinking of fighting guys on Parker's level.
Fa seems like a step backwards really. Plus as mentioned before it doesn't seem like a smart risk vs reward fight seeing as Junior seemed to be Parkers amatuer bogeyman. I dont see the point in fighting Browne. But maybe you could do it in Oz, possibly make a bit of dough from NZ PPV and get a bit of a profile over here aswell. At very least it's an easy confidence boosting fight. Parker would be the Jake the muss to Brownes Uncle Bully 99 times out of 100.
The great thing Parker has is the genetics to get bigger and stronger. At 30 years he could be an absolute monster. Already headed that way....
He showed technical and mental flaws against two vastly different types of HW's in Joshua/Whyte. 1. How long, if at all possible, will it take him to correct those flaws. 2. By time he corrects those flaws, will Joshua have improved his? Fury back to his best? Usyk adapted to HW?
When he has that intense Mongrel aggro in his eye - then he can beat anyone. He was too "clinical" and considered in both of those fights. Needed the mongrel approach...
