Canelo-Fielding, a disgrace of a fight

you obviously are. i dont know how i got mixed up in this, but i will make sure you are able to tell me apart in the future. im gonna go out of my way.

 

A half-way decent bigger man would never let the distance be closed so easily. Face it, this was the garbage fight everyone predicted it would be.

 

It was just a marking time fight for Canelo. Fielding was happy to get a paid a decent packet for being the B side. We all knew there was a massive skills gap between him and Canelo when this fight was signed.

Fielding had the WBA regular belt. It was there for the taking so why not especially when his last 2 fights had been against the fearsome GGG. Yes beating Fielding is not like beating George Groves, Callum Smith or James DeGale but you know what it increases the possibilities for Canelo who can choose to compete at Super Middleweight. He will fight anyone and with the money behind him everyone will want to fight him. Fielding has got a massive payday so all in good. His performance Fielding’s was poor but then again Canelo’s body of work looks like that of a legendary fighter so let’s just say he was outgunned.

 

I agree it was a disgrace of a fight but the question is, why the hell didn't Rocky use his jab and natural advantages? He thought inside with him. Ridiculous.

 

I thought it might be a mismatch, but the man was champ even though he didn't fight anyone to get the title. Once someone is champ you expect more. I don't fault Rocky for this, I fault boxing. We need fewer championships so handpicking a champion is not handpicking anyone in the top 10..

 

There are a good few skill levels between these 2. Rocky was always getting crushed. There was never going to be a super plan hed been training on to make this fight competitive, he was never going to shock the world. And when your opponent is full of PEDs and has concrete wraps on his gloves you have no chance at all.

 

It was hilarious the way the announcers were trying to sell the fight for awhile. "What an exciting fight. They're both throwing hard shots."
Later "Rocky is doing OK. What ever happens from now on he can hold his head high."

Rocky never had a chance

But he's not a div, if he was he would've turned down that money

Career high payday, he was never gonna say no

 

Canelo looked great against the best cherry available. Rock Fielding fought to the best of his not-really-rehydrated ability. The sneaky ginge moves on...*sigh*

 

LoL . Feldman is a top 10 rated SMW with a belt around his waist.. Shouldn't have been made??
GGG fanboys had nothing to say when he dragged a guy off the couch who had no ranking and hadn't fought in two years while also coming off losses.??
That fight didn't even get sanctioned by the IBF it was so bad , yet we have people complaining that prime Rocky one division above , not bellow , is a worse fight?? Come back to reality and stop hatin'

Its the same as saying Hurd shouldn't be allowed to move up to fight Rob Brant .
