Hello, What do you guys think about Manny Pacquiao's ab routine ? Safe ? Not safe ? Just for "toning" or really giving strength ? Open debate ! This content is protected Kind regards, Troll
Have you tried it? I've been doing it since the day you posted it- truthfully, I'm doing 25-30 reps instead of 50, but I should be at 50 in another few days.
Hello, Yes I tried it, with the 50 reps. However, I was obliged to do more rest than him. My abs were screaming pretty fast actually ! In your opinion, is it safe to do it on an everyday basis ? I have always heard that strong abs (so not necessarily visible abs) are built with either lifting heavy weights (squats, deadlifts, overhead presses) or hard calisthenics moves. Then I am a bit lost. I tell to myself that if Pacquiao do it, it has to be good, plus this is old time proven strategy to do multiple reps that way. However, who can claim having stronger abs than strongmen or gymnasts (who do not do high rep training, but mainly isometrics) Kind regards,
I have been doing it every day, so far so good. Over the years, I have seen several different calisthenics routines that work very well but I don't have video of them.
Thank you ! Were they based on high repetitions as well ? Were they considered as "old-school" ? Kind regards,
I don't remember them as being high rep exercises and I guess it would be old school, since I saw some of it over 40 years ago.
Yes, pretty good results. I think I will see more this coming week because I am going to deny myself cookies and pie for the week. I have a bit of a sweet tooth.
