That didnt debunk anything of which i said, but just for you: Roland LaStarza, after the rematch comments: "He's a great fighter. He's definitely a better fighter than when I fought him before—5,000 percent better. He hits harder. He hits more often. He has faster combinations. And he's harder to hit himself." https://news.google.com/newspapers?...BdWAAAAIBAJ&sjid=tuIDAAAAIBAJ&pg=6638,6482393 https://news.google.com/newspapers?...GIpAAAAIBAJ&sjid=VIEFAAAAIBAJ&pg=2685,3628216 LaStarza fought him AFTER the first Lowry fight, so its obvious that Marciano was far and away from his prime
I don’t put any faith in judges or a crowd or newspaper reportings in regards to decisions. There are still plenty of people that say GGG won the second Alvarez fight I happen to think they’re insane. Unfortunately there is no tape and even if he did drop a fight long before his prime to a tested vet of the game I still wouldn’t knock him for it. That also had little to do with the fighter he became. The Marciano that knocked out Joe Louis and Rex Layne wasn’t the same man that man handled LaStarza out worked Charles and adjusted beautifully to Moore. There isn’t a single great in history who hasn’t at least one or two fights with close decisions on their resume.
Lol another clueless biased Marciano fanboy. Nobody thought Marciano lost to Ted Lowry a 160 pound club fighter? http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Rocky_Marciano_vs._Ted_Lowry_(1st_meeting) Everybody thought he lost the fight and as stated he was almost knocked out by a 160 pound guy who had a career record of 70 and 68. Also Marciano had no prime. Unless you consider beating 40 year old Joe Louis, 40 Year old Archie Moore, 40 year old Jersey Joe Walcott and 34 broken down Ezzard Charles a prime. Wait you mean the prime when he fought a bunch of mob controlled fighters?
Also may be the dumbest comment I’ve ever seen posted. “No prime” smh yeah undefeated boxers who hold KO recorders usually don’t have primes. Ps the average age of a Marciano opponent is far younger then those who came after him.
Lol yeah boxers who best wins in their careers came against mob controlled fighters and old men clearly had a prime. Because you know beating old men and mob controlled fighters makes you a legend. Only to biased Marciano fans who only like him one clear obvious reason. The 4 top people Marciano beat ins his career were 3 40 year olds and one 3 35 year old. Also beating 180 pound fighters who were 109 years old clearly mean you could beat 220 plus pound modern heavyweights. Bye.
The thing is you probably can't read. Ask a grown up who know how to read to explain what I type. No 40 year old person is in their primes. Is that easy enough to read? Is it still too hard for you? Or is it only hard for you when it comes to you defending 180 pound club fighter Rocky Marciano? Archie Moore was pushing 40 and was a natural 165 pound fighter. Jersey Joe Walcott was pushing 40 and was a natural 186-190 pound fighter. Joe Louis was pushing 40 and was a 195 pound fighter who was only boxing because he owed back tax money. Ezzard Charles was around 34-35 and had 100 or so fights. He clearly wasn't in his physical peak. So if your best wins in your career were against old beat down fighters then you aren't good. You get that? Still too much for you to comprehend? How about this, winning fights against 160 to 190 pound fighters doesn't equate to you being to beat modern sized 205 plus pound heavyweights. You get that? Let me give you something easy to understand. I don't type to casual fans. So I will ignore you now. Can you read that?
Yeah, thats great and all, but you said this: "Also Marciano had no prime. Unless you consider beating 40 year old Joe Louis, 40 Year old Archie Moore, 40 year old Jersey Joe Walcott and 34 broken down Ezzard Charles a prime." Which makes no sense...
