Wlad had a great career and used his strengths in the ring to become a winner. Needs to stay away now, nothing else to prove.
Wlad has more to lose than just a boxing match if he decides to make an imprudent return to the ring. To see him suffering from punch-drunk syndrome down the line would be unfortunate.
lol. isnt that convenient timing. as soon as he turns 40 the competition is suddenly too good for a prime wlad now that we cant see it. what a load of crap. he was champ for 10 years and in all that time not one of those guys was more than second rate? lol. ive had this exact same convo about larry holmes and bernard hopkins.
I don't see the issue, I've never met wlad and am not an acquaintance of any kind so why so much concern about protection of reputation and record etc. He will still be a HOFer if things don't work out. I'd personally find it interesting seeing him try to come back though and would be interested to see how he can do against several heavyweights .. whyte, Parker, Ortiz, pov rematch, usyk or some of the upcoming fighters Dubois Gorman etc. If he is shot I'm sure there's always a slot to watch him fight price on a matchroom undercard Boxers at the end of the day are entertainers and I'd enjoy watching the comeback so why not.
You may not be aware but Dino is a pathological Klitschko hater. If Wlad fought Charlie Zelenoff, Dino would pick Charlie and then after Wlad laid him out cold, he'd blast Wlad for fighting a bum. Logic flies out the window when a Klitschko is involved. It was a LONG decade for poor Dino. Or Dildo, as we call him around here. Needless to say guys that Wlad beat like Povetkin and Pulev are still top fighters in this era, even though they're shadows of what they were. But, Dino thinks this era is better
I very much hope he stays retired. He has nothing to prove, and after taking one shellacking his drawing power would diminish considerably. The division is interesting now, but with a tight window. The AJ/Fury/Wilder fights all need to happen in 2019-20. Wlad needs to enjoy retirement.
It could happen, but he is so big and strong he always has a chance. Roy was moving up to bigger divisions.. that was tougher.
Comparing the Foreman comeback to Klitschko's brings up a point. When Foreman came back there was a different man making a comeback. Foreman had learned to relax in the ring. Something many never learn. Unnecessary tenseness will burn up a lot of energy. This served him well and he regained the title. What improvement(s) will Wladimir have made. His body and mind have had a rest. He is a smart guy. It could be very surprising. Won't rule him out as I think he could still beat most without improvements. My personal opinion is to enjoy your life and the fruits of your labors. This is a hurt game. It's not as if he needs the money. Dump the crazy dame. ( all actresses are bat **** crazy). If he comes back I will be pulling for him though.
Assuming he hasn't slipped badly (never something to assume when a fighter reaches their forties) I'd have him in the top three. He loses to Joshua and Fury again, probably beats Wilder, and beats everyone else. Usyk would take him though.
lol. ah, wasnt aware. thanks. he no longer will receive attention for his ridiculous ways. yeah wlad haters are some of the worst boxing haters/nuthuggers of all of them. Wlad apparently got lucky every time he ever threw a punch and 'i know that guy would beat him in a rematch'. And povetkin... a quality win for AJ somehow...but a younger faster stronger version...wlad absolutely destroyed.
His era has come to an end. Wlad will risk his life and his health. He might be sent to the hospital nearby after getting KTFO by hard hitting fighters like Wilder and Joshua. He should stay retired and raise his kids at home. I don't think that Wlad is broke now.
