Genuine question here. Why is it that us Brits always travel over across the pond yet when in reverse, the traveling USA support is almost non existence? I am curious as to why this is.
If Fury comes in better condition because while he was in good condition he was not 100% and if Wilder stupidly bulks up and puts all of that extra muscle weight on those noodles he’s walking on then Fury is going to beat him way more decisively. To be honest I thought he beat him 9-3 rounds the first one so barrin a ko,a lot of knowckdowns, or Fury having another meltdown and not coming in shape. I expect Fury to be even better this time.
I have a question. Why aren't there any big shows in the UK featuring two fighters who aren't from there? This year alone in the U.S. there have been big cards featuring a fighter from Mexico vs a fighter from Kazakhstan. Or a fighter from Ukraine vs. fighters from Venezuela and Puerto Rico. Why don't Brits support events in the UK featuring a fighter from Venezuela vs. a fighter from Kazakhstan or Mexico? Why does there always have to be a UK fighter vs someone else, or TWO UK fighters against each other, for fans to show up? Why are UK fans so biased against foreign fighters that they won't buy a ticket unless there's another UK fighter featured prominently in the main event?
Serious? I'm quite serious. When was the last big show in the UK that didn't feature a UK fighter? The U.S. features international main events all the time. See Canelo (Mexico) vs Golovkin (Kazakshtan). Lomachenko (Ukraine) vs Linares (Venezuela). In the UK, it's Frampton-Warrington. Or Whyte-Chisora. Where are the big UK main events featuring guys who aren't from the UK? Why aren't UK promoters putting fights like Dimitry Bivol vs. Isaac Chilemba in London? If Povetkin fights in the UK in a non-title fight, why do they WEDGE him in there with freaking David Price? Why won't UK fans turn out for a main event featuring boxers who aren't UK fighters?
Yeah, this is exactly it. The only times Fury got tagged by Wilder was when he was dipping. When he fought tall Wilder missed by a mile every time. If he can just makes that adjustment I think he blanks Wilder in the rematch.
There is a fairly simple answer to these questions. Americans describe themselves as African American, Hispanic, Irish-American, Italian-American etc. In fact Americans seem obsessed with where their ancestors came from and telling everyone about it. Maybe it's the relative youth as a nation that drives this. In the UK, and any other country for that matter, we don't feel these old ties to a mother land. Therefore we don't have large populations loyal to foreign fighters. I shouldn't be on here having to teach an American about their own demographics.
Fury "ran" from Wilder, because Wilder has big KO power. When the matador runs rings around the bull, you don't call the matador a coward.
if it happens it should be in UK why cant wilder put on his big boy pants and go outside of the US for once....he has 0 balls
Apparently UK Customs wont allow Wilder's alter-ego into the UK. Its a secular country and they dont want to import voodoo, especially voodoo practised badly by a pack of bums. We have enough dossers here already thanks
What? Do you think Lomachenko-Linares was packed with Ukrainians and Venezuelans? Do you think Bivol and Chilamba was packed with Russians (or Kyrgyzstans) and South Africans? Are you high? What percentage of the U.S. population do you think is Russian, Ukrainian, South African or Venezuelan? U.S. boxing fans pay to watch and support fighters from all over the world. Why do UK boxing fans only pay to see fights featuring UK fighters in the main bout? Why can't Povetkin fight someone like Parker or Breazeale in the UK and UK fans show up? Why do they have to wedge some stumblebum like Price in there because they're afraid nobody will show up if they don't? The UK will never be the boxing capital of the world if the fans won't regularly show up for big fights featuring TWO guys who aren't UK fighters.
When was the last time an American champ went abroad to win or defend a belt? Paulie Malignaggi 2012 I think? lmao.
