Very big if, there, even if Joshua can't put him away all he needs to do is hit him hard enough to make him hesitant to come forward and I can't see Miller winning any other way than coming forward constantly into Joshua's power and getting hit often because Miller's defence is next to non existent.

Joshua's power has been tested against some very good chins and so far it's been more than enough to either put the guy away or make them so hesitant they are basically just trying not to get KO'ed.

Johnson is known to be durable and cagey, took Hrgovic and Dubois the distance since and AJ is the only person to legitimately stop Johnson and did so with ease.

Povetkin never stopped before, stunned and hurt before but Joshua took him out with ease once he landed with a big shot.

Takam known to be durable only stopped once prior by being ground down in a toe to toe war with Povetkin and once he tasted Joshua's power he basically went into survival mode. Same with Parker coming in never down pro or amateur, but didn't dare take the fight to Joshua consistently for the fear of his power.

Miller is going to need a Mercer, McCall level chin if he's to walk through AJ's bombs without flinching.

Washington didn't outbox Wilder. Wilder carried him for a couple of rounds and then easily stopped him. Everybody and their mother knew Washington didn't stand a chance, which is why the event struggled to sale tickets. This is the same Washington, who couldn't beat Amir Mansour, who was over 40 and completely shot.

Miller beat Washington, but looked awful doing it and was gassing badly throughout the fight because he showed up grossly overweight, but didn't pay the price because Washington's conditioning is also very poor. If Miller took his conditioning and training more seriously he would've also easily ran through both Wach and stopped Duhaupas, who showed up in poor shape when he fought Miller.

I'd rather see AJ-Miller in MSG than a Whyte rematch in yet another stadium fight, it's all becoming a bit stale IMO for AJ in the UK.

    Everybody outboxes Wilder. ;)

    Not saying Miller is trash.

He's just not, imho, on the top level.

I wouldn't bet money on Ortiz slowing down.

Yep ... he kind of needs Wilder or Fury for April. Whyte, Pulev, etc. probably would be insufficient for a stadium fight, unless there's a full-on undercard.

If Miller's chin holds up he will look like he was jumped after 12 rounds. He offers the ability to possibly take a prolonged beating which is the interesting aspect....does Miller get stopped ?

Miller is a better boxer than Wilder , I'm honestly not surprised if an AJ Miller fight happens. It's been brewing between both of them and I personally think that Miller is debate-ably the best US heavyweight. Plus he deserves a shot.

AJ Wilder is never going to happen I believe, after the Fury fight it's been damage control for Wilder, every comment and news article I have read pumps out the message that AJ needs to step up, let's be fair AJ has been the only boxer stepping up since fighting Whyte way back and has since fought top opposition or those that needed to be fought (Martin, Molina). During this time Wilder has only defended against mandatory opponents and never really looked at the world as a whole. Come on let's be fair the whole drive of this heavyweight renaissance has been to AJ unifying and defending building up large crowds and overcoming adversity.

Fury can claim to be the one who freed up the division (which I think is true) but it's AJ who has ultimately brought the constant attention and drive into the heavyweight division to make it worth fighting and watching for. Wilder is at a very dangerous and testing time for him (remember he is supposed to be in his prime) and he needs to sort this mess out with Fury or else the WBC loses credibility along with Wilder's record.

Miller and Whyte make the obvious choice for the next fight they are both constant boxers who win and deserve a big shot at a clean unified champion who does not have all this baggage at his feet. Wilder needs to bend for boxing or else be broken by it. I hope that there is a decent resolve to all this which does not mar this era of boxing. Miller to his credit is doing what he must and always surpasses my expectation of him.

Even though AJ is very popular in the US and especially in NYC, the fight should be in England.

Incredible fans and atmosphere, 90 000 people in the stadium, easier to attend for people all over Europe and Nigeria, who would travel to England, even if they did not get a card.

The pub culture is insane. If AJ fights, the streets are so empty, you would think you are in a ghost town.

Wilder up until Fury faced no-one of note.So how come AJ fights say Miler from the USA where Wilder never.
Has AJ got to clear all the better names before Wilder will think of fighting them?.
I know Wilder will face Fury next but he should have faced Miler a long time back.
