Big time, and in the immortal words of Chris Jericho, after this past Saturday, I say to Braulio Rodrigues, "you just made the List!"
Do you rate SFW Mayweather that highly or Mikey that lowly? I'm not very high on Mikey, but I don't think he'd suffer a horrible beating.
How about Román Martínez with his creepy skull-like Voldermort shnoz? It seems like a wildly disproportionate number of ugly-mugged pugs are boricuas. Crazy that from the same island we get beauties like J-Lo and Melissa Cotto.
I rate Mikey as very, very good. Combination of "I rate Floyd that highly at super feather h2h" and, stylistically this match-up is bad for Mikey at pretty much any weight, more than it would be for Lomachenko... BUT, he would be highly competitive with Lomachenko. Styles make fights.
It was his 2nd fight at the weight. I forgot how quickly his stay at 140 pounds was. Still the point remains that FMJ was rated p4p whrn he didnt have a solid win over a prime guy in a decade.
Absolutely. At the time this was a real top fight and Floyd was amazing in it. Floyds career is a bit like De La Hoyas in so much as so many dont realise and know that they had already had amazing careers against top quality opponents long before they got to the WW division.
I know Manfredy's brother. He's a great guy. Talented designer. He also managed Angel for a while. After stopping Jorge Paez and Arturo Gatti on HBO, the network offered Kushner and Manfredy a couple deals featuring a series of fights. One involved fighting Mayweather as the first fight of the deal. Kushner wanted to do that. Angel's brother wanted to put that off and take the second option (can't recall if it was a Gatti rematch or what). Kushner won. Manfredy's brother couldn't disagree more and quit as manager. Angel fought Mayweather and got stopped early. With the loss, HBO dropped the deal. Manfredy's brother wasn't the biggest fan of Kushner. When you're a good but not GREAT fighter, a bad decision here and there can totally change everything.
Amazing that a man whose old enough to have had a moniker based on the turn of the millennium is still relevant today. BREAK THE WALLS DOWN!
It's all good pal. I don't take anything on here too seriously and nobody should take me too seriously either. Have a good Christmas
