All Fury has done so far is appear on a PPV which did bang average numbers and was nearly knocked out. The laughable notion that he's some new superstar is just that. If you believe it is about the money, then what are they hoping to do? Match Tyson's $3m purse? Joshua makes that in the UK in about two rounds.
That's not quite true is it He in many peoples eyes won the fight and in getting nearly knocked out as you state became a trending topic He has become a lot more well known and been embraced by the American public even before the fight took place He must have won a fair few new fans after the fight too And bang average numbers? Bear in mind the UK is enduring a Boxing boom and the US is suffering a slump There is context to everything We know Joshua makes more in so many rounds Good luck to him But believe Fury is now more well known than Joshua in America Finances aside
I never suggested Fury was "some new superstar" in the USA but he's started to make himself a name over there with his comeback, his personality and his excellent performance against Wilder. If he fights a rematch with Wilder it will be much bigger and he'll get more exposure. The fact that the much publicized, "fully booked, months in advance", "extended to seat 100,000" Wembley Stadium April 13th date is now suddenly not so definite, and a USA debut around that time seems almost as likely, SPEAKS VOLUMES about how Hearn is under pressure to keep Joshua's profile growing lest one of his sporting rivals starts to outshine him in global exposure too. It's clear as day. I'm not knocking Hearn or Joshua at all, just spelling out what's already obvious.

I think it's his workrate and come forward style that could be the most difficult for aj, miller has fought no one yet but his style makes it difficult for anyone. I've seen about 4/5 fights of his and he has controlled the distance at all times

I still think AJ is more popular than Fury in the USA. Yes Fury enhanced his profile over there in the last fight however if AJ fought Wilder in America then it would at least double the amount of buys Fury Wilder did.
As if. Eddie's getting frozen out now because he's playing the Spiv with Wilder over splits. Actually, I'm not even convinced they were serious about trying to snare the Wilder fight, as evidenced by how quickly they're crowbarring Miller in all of a sudden. I think he's just throwing Wilder's name around to stay relevant. FWIW, I think Joshua as a lone agent would take the pair of them on, it just doesn't fit in with "the plan" his superiors have for him.
I see where your coming from, not saying your wrong but miller has been on the cards for along time(in hearns plans). I dont think wilder has ever wanted joshua, as with joshua being the clear A side the stubbling block was always the location. Money/splits is the easiest thing to blame for negotiations breaking down,when in my opinion thats never been the issue. Imagine both sides coming out and saying we dont trust the judging/reffing fighting away, it would confim to the world the corruption (we all know exists in world boxing), its joshua and hearn who hold all the aces here. Put it like this, if you were joshua would you fight wilder in america? After the fury result?...not a chance.
If Whyte scraps through and only edges Chisora he loses the appeal for another AJ shot. He could make decent coin rematching Parker though.

Joshua's last fight was free to watch over there and 16,000 watched it. Fury caused a huge stir over there and the rematch will be much bigger.
