Three days after Christmas, three days before New Year's Eve - headlining a show at Gildehaus Lüchow, scheduled for eight rounds.

Bakhtov, whose professional campaign will officially reach two decades if he remains active for another ten months, was formerly a widely-respected perennial contender and "nearly man", but has been in drastically compromised form since at least his brutal TKO loss to Anthony Joshua four years ago, if not declined to a 75% or less shell of his prime self even before that. Since then, Bakhtov has fought only sporadically, going 1-3, most recently KTFO by Evgeny Romanov in two minutes this past April.

Muhamed, a fitness-obsessed Syrian-German (who is equally proud of his citzenship of Cologne and his Qamishlo heritage) was - small world - the primary sparring partner for Joshua this summer ahead of his clash with Alexander Povetkin. He is twelve years Bakhtov's junior and didn't make his pro debut until after the latter had fought AJ. He is 8-0 (8) so far but has fought nobody of note aside from Epifanio Mendoza, who is even more shot than Bakhtov and wasn't as good in the first place.

Bakhtov needs to call it a career after this fight.

I'm rooting for him but if he gets stopped as I expect then yes he does.

@Somachenko, @Robney or @Chuck Norris - any of you know if any of the German outlets will be airing this? Kind of a ho-hum card, so not holding my breath.

I think it’ll probably be recorded and uploaded to Fight24 or BoxWelt after the fact but if any news comes closer to the date, I’ll post it in here.

There's a chance it will be shown on Boets (the russian tv channel).
