There's no evidence to support this. What we do know is that Fury got some serious public support in the aftermath of his Wilder robbery. Did you have a look at Twitter afterwards? US athletes and celebrities were tweeting about Fury en masse.

Pre-fight Fury got massive exposure on Joe Rogan's podcast and on Power 105.1 FM's Breakfast Club show. The whole fight build up and actual fight coupled with the reception to Tyson after his mental health and obesity struggle - don't underestimate the serious exposure this will have had to non-boxing fans too. On IG afterwards, even my Mrs's Instagram was flooded with clips of Fury getting up from his KD which tells you how global the exposure was and she doesn't follow boxing at all on her IG.

As someone else pointed out 15,000 people watched live on DAZN USA during Joshua-Povetkin.

Figures for Joe Rogan's podcast, the Power 105.1 breakfast show and everything else matter a lot less than people who bought the fight. And it didn't sell well. It sold even worse over here.

Again, what are Hearn and Joshua concerned about here? If it's money, then even if a Fury Wilder rematch is five times bigger than the first fight it's still not providing a payday to match what Joshua earns. Guarantees of $3m are a comparative pittance.

Jarrell Miller seems like a decent personality, engaging and intelligent, and a natural trash talker so I can see why Hearn thinks that fight is a good sell ..... but as a fighter, I agree with Dillian Whyte's assessment of Miller ....

You get a proper erection for how much AJ earns don’t you? It really is a big thing to you. I just don’t get it...it just doesn’t interest me what anyone earns, it’s their business not mine, but you...you really get off on it.

It’s a common theme with the Matchroom shills on here. They refer to his paydays as if they have shares in them.

Quite a few times the Matchroom shills have made posts mocking the few millions Wilder earns for his fights as if they are earning even a fraction of that themselves.

It’s incredibly bizarre but a good few posters here seem to live vicariously through Hearn and Joshua.

Not at all. I'm merely asking the question of what it is that Hearn and Joshua are now supposedly desperate for in light of the Wilder Fury fight. I think the likes of yourself have massively overstated Fury's popularity. He doesn't hold any titles. It's clearly not money. What is it?

Before the Sports Personality of the Year award, Steve Bunce said there was a huge crowd of sports stars patiently waiting to have selfies taken with Fury.

It's global dominance of the market. Which equals money, in the future.
If Fury or Wilder become huge in the USA (I'm not saying that's happened yet) before Joshua does, then the plan to grow Joshua's UK popularity, brand and market value globally becomes more difficult and that's why it has become a more immediate concern. This is obvious.

The fact that Fury is well known in the UK too, a British fighter with charisma, just adds another angle that bothers Hearn a bit.

All of this is true because Hearn speaks about it himself.
Joshua's popularity and standing at home is safe and in no danger at all, but the world is in motion, and things have to GROW. Hearn and Joshua know they can't afford to stand still, they need to grow.

Nah, you go on and on and on about his finances in the majority of your posts. I know exactly what you think when it comes to the commercial side of Joshua but I have no idea what you think of his boxing ability. You’ve broken down the money side of it several times but I’ve never seen a post from you about his jab, his footwork, control of range etc or anyone else’s for that matter. I’ve seen you somehow shoehorn references to either Hearn (stiffy on) and/or Warren (booooo!) on threads regarding other fighters.

I’ve had to highlight to you several times how a judge scores a fight because you were just doing it on punch stats. That’s absolutely fine by the way, we learn all the time but it suggests to me that you’re a massive fan of Matchroom and Joshua’s commercial model, and that bit that actually happens in the ring is just a side note to it all.

Fair enough. Think what you like. It's still a legitimate question in regard to what Hearn and Joshua are supposedly worried about.

I don't think we're going to see eye to eye on this in fairness. I find your Fury fascination odd and laughably overstated. Either way, you come across as the typical 'I know more than you about boxing' because you find Tyson's land five punches a round, wave arms about, not hurt opponent gameplan so ferociously exciting it prompts you to compare him to Ali. Which, in fairness, did make me burst out laughing.

I'm not sure they need to grow. Obviously it would be a nice thing for all concerned, but for that to happen, it would take something far bigger than just promoting a fighter. Boxing would have to suddenly become a boom sport in America again, and that isn't going to happen. You've recently had a 40-0 undefeated American knockout artist heavyweight champion against the lineal, undefeated heavyweight champion and it sold terribly. On that basis, I don't think anyone will become a huge star in the States any time soon, because aside from Canelo, nobody cares.

I said at the time that you wouldn’t quite grasp it and would take it out of context, which you did. You were always going to think that I was comparing them ‘inside the ring’.
I was talking about how Ali’s appeal transcended boxing. He was very outspoken and rightfully but controversially went against the establishment at the time. My comparison was that Fury’s appeal is also now starting to transcend boxing. He’s becoming a beacon of inspiration and raising the awareness of mental health. He’s a huge personality. Obviously, I still don’t expect you to grasp what i’ve said in this paragraph but i’ve explained it once again, anyway.

I don’t have a fascination with Fury but i’m a fan of his work inside the ring, and find him genuinely entertaining. I enjoy and appreciate Joshua’s work, too. I’m a boxing fan, I just love it all (apart from the financial side of it).

The fat American dude is being pushed into the frame by Hearn.
I don't think Chisora has any chance of getting a shot at Joshua if he wins tonight, and I'm not sure he even wants that fight (Haye does though).

It might be Whyte if he wins ...... unless Whyte looks too poor or too good !
But it's also looking like it will be the fat American guy.
