    This was the fight that made me a boxing fan.

    I was at home on a Friday night & this was on free to air TV. I had a casual interest in boxing so tuned in.

    Fenech had a been a world champ at bantamweight & was moving up to super bantam & challenging an undefeated world champ.

    Fenech applied the blowtorch & scored a spectacular 4th round kayo. Blokes tired very quickly against Fenech b/c he was very strong for the weight & applied massive pressure.

    Payakaroon was and I think still is considered either the greatest or second greatest muy thai fighter of all time. He messed up Lupe Pintor with one punch. It goes to show how strong Fenech was in those days.
