Lennox Lewis He(Joshua) doesn't want those guys. He's happy being protected in England

'He doesn't want any of those guys. When he saw that fight, he was like, "Wow these guys can box",' he told Compubox TV.

Lewis believes that the unified champion's reluctance to come out of his comfort zone and venture across the pond is making those fights harder to make and insists he would rather watch Wilder and Fury fight again in a rematch following their controversial draw earlier this month.

He added: 'I think they should have a rematch [Wilder and Fury], Joshua can wait. I don't think he'll [Joshua] come over here [United States] right now. I think he's too happy in England being protected, and boxing in front of the British crowd.'

He's not wrong. I think he's the only Heavyweight Champion that has never boxed outside their own country.

Fighters like Usyk put this chicken to shame.

I think if anything watching the wilder fury fight gave Joshua much more confidence hence why we see him coming out now in interviews stating he wants wilder next.

He looks at Wilders performance and thinks wow this guy is garbage, if fury had any power and tried to put it on him he have would stopped him . Guess what AJ has that power plus superior boxing ability to wilder....I think he is very confident he beats him.

With fury, sure he acknowledges he would be very tricky but he won't have any fear of being hurt, he knows fury can get put down and unlike wilder he's not a one shot wonder, when AJ puts guys down it's with combinations and punch accumilation. I think he would be very confident over a 12 round fight he hurts fury at some point and when he does he finishes him similar to how he finished Vlad.

I think AJ will have had more fear before seeing that fight....afterwards nah there's nothing at all to fear.

Fury could possibly frustrate him to a points win but he won't get hurt and wilder he has a punchers chance but unlike fury AJ won't give him 12 rounds to get one off, he will beat him up and stop him long before then.

I may be wrong but I genuinely believe AJ beats everyone in the division and I don't think theres a real difficult fight for him out there....actually I think miller and Joyce would be his hardest opponents in terms of actually getting hurt and beat up with fury being the only one who could perhaps our point him.

Usyk huh??? Did u just compare UK and Ukraine??? U think Usyk fights outside of his country to prove he's a "road warrior"??? hahahaha ... He fights abroad because his country is too broke to host any fights lol..... Why do u think the WBSS final wasn't in Kiev??? because they didn't have enough money to host it, and there wasn't enough interest. Don't compare UK market to the Ukraine market

    Keep dreaming.

AJ almost got knocked out and was getting his head boxed off by a 6,3 40 year old man with no arms.

And you think Wilder at 6'7 in his prime, wouldn't have an easier time knocking AJ out then he did with Fury?

Like Fury said if Joshua took that right hand and left hook he'd have been nailed, for sure.

No head movement, stiff and predicable, and no charisma. He gets embarrassed in and outside of the ring by Fury or he gets permanently drilled to the canvas by Wilder.

I never compared their countries. You did.

Honor and pride before money for Usyk, something lost on you goons. it's about the willingness to go where ever he needs to go to fight in order to secure his legacy, like most true champions.

Wilder is the protected fighter. And we saw why against Fury.

I do agree AJ needs to fight Fury. Huge match.

Lewis didn't have the luxury Joshua has of being the biggest draw in the division during his time or being able to generate huge PPV revenue in the UK like Joshua could. Maybe he'd have had a different perspective if he'd been in Joshua's shoes.

But then again maybe not, Lewis was always arrogant and even sometimes too overly confident of his ability. I don't think he'd have been so concerned with trying to get every advantage as long as it got him the fights he wanted and got him as much money as he could. He was only ever concerned with making the best fights, remember he dumped belts to take on tougher fighters. He never really talked about making the most money or being a billion dollar athlete like Joshua, he came from an era where legacy meant fighting the best and beating the best not about how big a star you were or how much money you made.

So his criticism from his perspective is valid. Some will say he's salty and maybe he is but at least he's being fair in dishing out his criticism, remember he also said Fury exposed Wilder.

That might not fit with the narrative the OP is trying to sell the "dumb sheep" though...

I don’t really like Joshua but I can’t help feel Lewis is a bit jealous.

Perhaps he wishes he had the same profile and adulation (plus money) Joshua enjoys.

Joshua - I have a contract for you to fight for all the belts, Wilder gets a rematch clause with the rematch being in America as Wilder demanded, also the money double the money Wilder made in the Fury fight which is a hell of alot more than he has ever earned.

Wilder - I dont want to fight Anthony Joshua and im not intertested in his belts.

Lennox Lewis - Joshua doesnt want to fight Wilder.

I have mad respect for Lennox Lewis but it is just an opinion, there are many other pro Boxers who say its clear that its Wilder who doesnt want the fight but i dont see Stephanie posting all those video's up on here. I dont see anybody posting those videos up, but thats cuz we dont need to. Lennox Lewis is wording his opinion. Stephanie wants us to think because a British guy says Joshua is ducking its proof that Joshua is ducking. The rest of us are looking at the facts where we stand right now and the facts right now is Joshua is Begging and has contracts ready for Wilder and Wilder is saying he doesnt want to fight Joshua. Ive not twisted any words there that is EXACTLY what Deontay said.
