As a genuine Frampton fan, id have to agree with you.

Frampton, imo isnt close to being dedicated enough since the McGuigan break up.

I know there's rumours of this and that, but besides the business issues, it seems to me that Frampton isnt dedicated enough in the gym any more.

This whole thing of bringing the kids to school on monday, then hopping on the plane to Manchester and back again on Friday is complete bull****.

You dont play boxing, you're either in, or you're out. And Frampton has tried to play it, instead of live it. I have a feeling the McGuigans let this be known and Frampton didnt like the truth.

    Ad for Warrington.

I thought he was sensational, and not just tonight, he was excellent against Selby to. Credit to him and his team.

He won pretty much every round tonight, any round he didnt win was bevauce he was taking a breeder, he was in full control, and i mean FULL CONTROL.

Great fight, Frampton should retire and Warrington should go and make himself some millions now.

Well done to Warrington (from a Frampton fan). He used his physicality / fitness to great effect tonight and his energy levels were great. Yes he did tire a litte, but he had done the hard yards by then. Frampton, looked absolutely shot. No impact. Some nice combinations and scoring punches but Warrington was always able to answer with something and his flurries (although not all scoring) looked good and took it out of Frampton. Nowhere to go for Frampton now. Retirement beckons. I'm only sorry I think he wasted the best purple patch of his career aftern the first LSC fight. Awful prep and tactics for the second LSC fight and has not been the same fighter since. Also, no evidence of any significant KO power at this weight. I actually can't beleive how flat he was tonight. That said,I expected Warrington to be super fit. Well done Josh.

For what? Warrington worked Carl over and beat him clearly, hurting him repeatedly- he would KO him in a return.

Great performance by Warrington, was very active and had Carl marked up. I had winning by 3, like one of the judges. Thoroughly entertaining!

I really hope so. Why go chasing yanks for less money? Carl seemed deflated and already happy to have finished though. He’s been great and Josh was great tonight. I’m very sad to see one of them lose. Hats off to the lads.

Warrington clearly is the real deal.

Not convinced Frampton has it in him to climb the ladder again.

I think the only person Carl has to blame is himself for his conditioning and dedication after the first LSC fight.

Carl had a big amateur career here in Ireland, winning national titles and boxing internationally against great opponents.

If a fighter with his level of experience couldnt figure out LSC in their rematch, then im sorry, thats on him, not the trainer.

Ok, they may have prepared for a differenr approach by LSC, but Carl has enough experience to be able to change his own tactics on the fly. Or at least he should have.

He kept saying how he was always countng down the days to retirement when training under the McGuigans. Maybe he coukdnt handle the hard graft anymore, and Jamie Moore pandered to him because he was a marquee name?

In the second LSC fight they (Frampton/team) only seemed to prepare for the LSC from fight one. If I remember correctly, I also recall Shane McGuigan giving absolute nonsense from the corner near the end of the fight, asking Frampton to box/move when he needed a knockout! What the hell was that about? Anyway, I agree that no sooner than he arrived on the big time, Frampton has been struggling with that obsessive desire a top athlete needs to be at the top of any professional game. He was so limp tonight (taking nothing away from JW).

I'm sure you call agree, Josh is the no1 fw in the world. He's beaten 2 of the top 5 back to back. Valdez, lsc or Russel have fought no where near the calibre of fighters this year.

Nothing left for Frampton unfortunately. He's done it all and he's only going downhill from here. Well beaten but not disgraced tonight. A homecoming for a retirement few quid maybe.

As for Warrington, get him in with the top guys immediately. Warrington/Santa Cruz has got to be one of the best fights in boxing.

Warrington/Santa Cruz would be a great fight or any other belt holders would be good to see.Warrington might take 6 months out after tonight before we see him again.

I’m made up for Warrington. I feel that he’s been terribly underrated for some time now. It’s not just high energy and workrate, that just makes him sound like he bum-rushes opponents & swarms them with shots. He’s got world class boxing skills and he’s intelligent in the way he launches attacks.

I got plenty of fight predictions wrong tonight, but glad that this one was right. Frampton is an elite level fighter, lets not downplay his quality. They’re just at different stages of their careers. Frampton’s already been there, done that. This is Warrington creating his legacy now.
