I think Mike destroys Schmeling. Schmeling was not a big guy. We are not talking head to head here are we?

Tyson to big and aggressive for Max. Max was a light heavy for majority of his career. Schmeling does well until the 60s when heavies start getting too big for him.

The average heavyweight from Louis's era was just as big as the average heavyweight from Ali's era.

Which was also just as big as the average heavyweight from Jack Johnson's era

Keep in mind that Joe Louis was the better puncher when compared to Tyson. Schmeling wouldn't be destroyed in the same way

Why 37 as opposed to 36 or 38?

When was it decided that Louis was the better puncher when compared to Tyson? I can easily see Tyson destroying Schmeling just as fast and effective as Louis did.

Tyson was all wrong for Schmeling to be honest.

Schmeling tended to be a slow starter, and this wouldn't cut it against Tyson.

Can't agree with that. Tyson and Louis were equal in terms of arsenal and speed in combination punching. Tyson punched much harder.
Its true Schmeling wouldnt be destroyed in the same way- it wouldnt take that many knockdowns for Tyson.

    Hand Speed: Joe Louis
    Accuracy: Joe Louis
    Punch Stamina: Joe Louis

Power goes to tyson but louis has lifted a 230lbs tony galento off the canvas with a left hook, and made a 250lbs buddy baer do a 360 spin with 1 right hand

Schmeling got busted up pretty badly in the early rounds of the first Louis fight, and the referee even threatened to stop the fight.

Louis of course took his sweet time.

Tyson by default, would probably do what Louis should have done in the first fight, and did in the second fight, i.e. jump on Schmeling early.

My guess is, it probably works somehow.

What do you mean by a young Mike Tyson? I have a young daughter who is 9 y/o.... I feel like Max could beat a 9 year old version of Tyson quite emphatically.
