Well unless he has done an interview here he states he doesn't consider himself British then there is no reason to assume that he doesn't see himself as such.

Not that it matters one way or another, his points still stands

I'm not a big fan of Lewis these days but I find it hard to believe he is bitter and jealous of AJ. I just think he finds it hard to accept the reasoning behind not chasing the best fighters in the world to prove you are number one. Lewis did this, he was frozen out of the division for a long time and did anything he could to get back to the top, he wouldn't hear of avoiding anyone, he was victim to this himself when the Bowe fight failed to materialise.

He knows what it means to miss the boat on fights like this, the questions are always there and will effect a fighters legacy. I thought he was always pretty supportive of Joshua, he seems to have changed his tune since the Wilder saga, in his mind he would do what it takes to make the fight happen, even if he had to go over to the the other guys back yard. I think thats all there is to it personally.

I also wonder how bothered he was by his lack of popularity, he never really made an effort to endear himself to the public did he? I really wonder how much he cared. The only time he did seem a bit bothered by it was when he fought Bruno.

"Throughout my professional career, my nationality and patriotism were always questioned due to migrating as a child from my birth country of England to Canada. Migration plays a very big role in socioeconomically challenged communities as head of households try to find better prospects – for a host of different reasons – in other countries, and having experienced the benefits of migration I wholeheartedly say that three countries and their resources positively impacted my life.

I was born in East London to Jamaican parents and by the age of 12 migrated to Canada. I represented Canada in the 1984 Olympics and won a bronze medal. I returned to the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games and won the gold medal for Canada in the Heavyweight Boxing Division. I became a pugilist specialist (professional boxer) shortly after winning the gold in Seoul and returned to my birthplace of England to pursue my professional career because professional boxing opportunities were extremely limited in Canada".

What point are you trying to make?

I'm already familar with Lewis' story in relation to his upbringing and reasons for migration.

I am still yet to see of any evidence of Lewis refusing to identify himself as British

Deontay Wilder has been VERY protected, he's never fought a live opponent outside the USA, old Audrey Harrison was in his 40s and never very good to begin with.

In fact Wilder has rarely ever fought a live opponent in his home country.

    Not really.

I implied Usyk has put the chicken to shame, because he has been willing to travel anyhere to fight whoever has challenged him.

Meanwhile Joshua is the only champion in the division that has not and will not fight outside of his own country.

And what I mean by goons, are those who are willing to defend and make every excuse and find and clutch on to any strawman argument in the book,to protect Joshua regardless of what he says or does.

The same goons who obediently took orders from Joshua not to open their mouths and express their feelings last saturday night. These are the goons. Maybe you're not one of these people.

You have an opportunity in your next response to prove to me that you're not one of these goons and that I may have misjudged you

I think you two have misunderstood. I was talking purely in a commercial sense - Joshua is worth far more now commercially than Lewis ever was. That must sting a bit considering Lewis’ success.

Wilder has never defended his title outside of America. His only fights on his travels have been a few no hopers in Mexico and that killer that is Audley Harrison :risas3:

Your loathing of Joshua knows no limits

You call it nonsense with the 22-fight thing, but answer me this. Joshua or Wilder, who had the most impressive resume after 22 fights?

They both have limited amateur background, so no mentioning of Wilder “needing to learn on the job” as a pro.

Just answer the question. Which resume is better at 22-0?

The fact that anyone is trying to give Wilder props for travelling to fight Audley Harrison says it all. Audley Harrison lol

Joshua should do everything to secure the fight because thats what champions do! Wilder should not have to travel or accept offers he finds disrepectul because Champions dont do that!. Joshua is the A side but that doesnt matter if he wants a legacy, Wilder is the A side and that means he doesnt have to do anything he doesnt want to!!. Joshua says i want to fight = he is clearly ducking, Joshua doesnt accept the 50 million = he is clearly ducking, Wilder says Joshua begging him for the fight = Joshua clearly ducking, Wilder says he going to freeze Joshua out = Joshua clearly ducking
This confusing mess is what this whole argument sounds like to me when i read what Wilder supporters think.
