Your kidding right? 6'2 blazing fast southpaw who can crack a little more then people thought and Canelo would even get next to him???
Nunn stands a good chance of stopping a knackered Canelo in the late rounds. Canelo wouldn't get away with taking rounds off against Nunn
This is easy. Nunn UD Canelo He might even knock him out, but since Starling went 12 I figured Canelo could.
I don’t really expect Canelo to get a fair shake in this fight. So many people hate him, and feel he has the judges in his pocket. I am not a Canelo fan (definitely don’t like his tainted meat excuse) but I am also in the minority it seems that scored the 2 GGG fights a draw and 7-5 Canelo in the rematch. I do appreciate his in ring style and think he is a tough out for anyone. I don’t think he has the potential power of G so Canelo may take some more risks. But Nunn was also more skilled and versatile than G and had respectable power. I think Canelo chin and countering ability/defense keep him in this making for a slow paced but interesting skilled fight. Give me Nunn in a SD/MD (similar to Starling), where he does enough not to lose.
Canelo would be in a similar situation as with Mayweather, just boxing a bigger guy who is southpaw. He was too small for Nunn.
Canelo being judged here on his Mayweather and Trout fights when he was inexperienced. Canelo is a intelligent fighter and showed in Golvokin rematch he can make necessary adjustments to his fighting strategy. I will go against the norm here as Nunn could be lacklustre and lethargic and had trouble concentrating for full 12 rds. Size advantage in weight is subtle here as Canelo comes in at 170 lbs plus. Plus advantage of Golden Boy Judges. Canelo on pts with Nunn bitterly protesting he was robbed.
